This jutsu had a similar effect to the 'New' Shadow Sewing Technique but was slower and required hand signs, making it less effective.
Inspired by Shikamaru's naming, Yasuke quickly named the 'New' Shadow Sewing Technique "Shadow Shuriken."
"Now, I need to train in projectile weapons to maximize the Shadow Shuriken's effectiveness. Otherwise, throwing a hundred shurikens without hitting the enemy's shadow would be ridiculous."

Yasuke added the two Nara clan techniques to the development list and eagerly anticipated the new secret technique's creation.

Suspiciously eyeing Yasuke but finding nothing unusual, Yasumasa frowned and said, "Yasuke, Shikaku-sama has called for a test for clan members under eight. It's annoying, can't even get a good sleep. Yasuke! Did you hear me?"
"Ah, I heard! Yasumasa, let's go quickly, or Uncle Shikaku will scold us again!"
Responding casually, Yasuke's mind was clear. He knew this clan test wasn't simple and was likely a special test arranged by Shikaku for him!
The Nara clan wasn't a major family in the village but had hundreds of members. So, as Yasuke and Yasumasa headed from their small branch house to the main family's residence, Yasuke prepared to shine in the clan test.
Yasumasa, not very close to Yasuke, remained silent most of the way, only greeting Shikaku upon arrival.
"Shikaku-sama, Yasuke is here."
"Hmm, you can go now."
One was from a branch family, the other the clan leader's nephew. Yasumasa knew the difference, so he returned to the branch family's lineup upon Shikaku's command.
When Shikaku looked at Yasuke, his eyes were filled with expectation. He glanced at the two elders, then patted Yasuke's shoulder, whispering, "Yasuke, do your best!"
"I understand, Uncle Shikaku."
Smiling, Yasuke joined the branch family lineup. With all members under eight gathered, there were twelve in total.
Four were from the main family, around six or seven years old, with one or two years of training at the ninja academy. The eight from the branch family varied, with Yasuke being four and not yet attending the academy. The others were either six years old and not yet enrolled or eight years old still struggling at the academy, significantly lacking compared to the main family members.
With everyone gathered, Shikaku consulted with elders Shikayuu and Shikato, then addressed the group, "Today's test is to assess your recent training progress. Outstanding performance will be rewarded, and poor performance will be punished."
"Alright, the test will start with the branch family! Yasumasa, Jenny, you two first!"
"Yes!"
Following Shikaku's command, Yasumasa and the sturdy Jenny stepped out to spar, leaving Yasuke yawning.
No wonder, having sparred with Shikaku, Yasuke's standards were much higher than these kids'. Moreover, neither had the strength of a Genin; even performing a basic Clone Technique amazed the surrounding clan members. Bored, Yasuke observed the main family members, finding no familiar faces. He then spaced out to pass the time.
While Yasuke lacked interest, the younger Nara members were fascinated by the tests. Especially when Erin used the Shadow Imitation Technique, even Shikaku nodded approvingly, announcing:
"Alright, Erin wins this round."
"Next, Rokusen, come guide Yasuke!"
