[ Third Person POV ]
Mariejois, a while back
The Five Elders were currently in turmoil upon hearing the recent developments.
"To think that the God Knights would fall to him as well....we shouldn't have sent them on that island in the first place," Saint Mars groaned as he read the report.
"They had been given the Lord's blessings, and we've wasted it by sending them off towards their deaths; this is a failure on all accounts," Saint Ethanbaron Nusujuro commented.
"We shouldn't be focusing on what has happened," Saint Warcury argued, "rather, we should be focusing on how we handle the God Knights moving forward."
"I agree; we should also be figuring out what to do since we have lost the offspring of some influential Celestial Dragons," Saint Ju Peter grumbled.
"Especially that child Garling.....His father has probably already received word about this and is already beginning to retaliate," Saint Saturn muttered.
True enough, what Jaygarcia Saturn had been assuming was already working under their noses. Agents working for the Figarland Family had been discretely moving to and from the Family's main manor to the Bondolas. They were transporting various equipment and supplies to the ships already set for them.
Inside the Figarland Family Manor, a meeting was held for the Prominent Family. Figarland Garling had been the star of the Figarland family, and his loss shocked the entire Figarland Family; even the subordinate families fell into shock as well just hearing the rumors of Garling's death.
"This is a blatant insult to the Figarland Family; messing with Mariejois was one thing. Killing our people?!!" An intense bloodlust could be felt throughout the room as the head of the Figarland Family, Figarland Grandsen, roared in frustration.
"Father, I understand your frustrations about my son's death, but immediately sending out agents without permission from the Five Elders is a bit-" Figarland Godwin was about to ease his father's agitation when Grandsen slammed the table and broke it.
"Godwin, you, of all people, should be supporting my actions as the Family Head!! I've already allied with some other Prominent Families to get that brat! I want him back here alive so I can torture him myself," Grandsen roared as he looked at the agents who had happened to be standing nearby.
"Send some of the trained kids out there as well; this can be a good learning experience for them," Godwin immediately ordered.
"The Five Elders may fear those in the lower world, but we do not, and they will respect our Nobility!" Grandsen boomed as his eyes took on a wrathful spark.
Meanwhile, within the Room of Authority.
The agents responsible for keeping tabs on the prominent families within Mariejois immediately gathered at the doors where the Five Elders met and knocked on the door. They were beckoned to go inside and immediately began reporting the overall situations occurring during their discussions.
The Five Elders, naturally, didn't take kindly to this abrupt revelation.
"To think that they would do something like this behind our backs....." Saint Ju Peter remarked.
"We shouldn't be too surprised; they don't take kindly to outsiders messing with their kin," Saint Nusjuro remarked.
"Should we stop them?" Saint Mars asked curiously.
"I propose we shouldn't," Saint Saturn argued, "the prominent families have been showing more and more blatant disregard for the status quo. This ought to knock them down a peg or two."
"Additionally, in the case where they manage to actually catch him, we can get rid of one nuisance either way. It's the ideal win-win scenario," Saint Warcury remarked.
"I also propose that we keep this out of the news; we wouldn't want to tarnish the reputation of the Celestial Dragons," Saint Saturn added to the proposition.
The entire council agreed and dismissed the agents who had been giving intel concerning the prominent families.
The individuals that had been selected for the expedition to capture the Vice-Captain of the Whitebeard Pirates. Two of them hailed from the Manmayer Family, another one came from the Donquixote Royal Family, and the last three were personally appointed by the Figarland Family. There were some other major individuals who hailed from more families. However, they weren't as prominent and influential as those three families were.
Now that they had gathered, they were almost ready to find the little piece of shit they had killed their kin, and bring them back for a proper display of justice.
"Wait, before you leave, ensure you call the Fleet-Admiral for further assistance. The man may be retiring from that position, but he is still obligated to listen to our orders," Figarland Godwin instructed.
Everyone responded, and a call had been made to Marineford, but this phone call became a significant problem for the Marines.
Marineford
"The hell they mean by capturing Boris?! Are they mad?!!" Zephyr roared as he slammed Fleet-Admiral Kong's desk.
Garp cackled with laughter and almost choked on a sea shell that he had been munching on previously. Sengoku calmly downed a cup of tea before pouring himself another cup and taking another sip. Vice-Admiral Tsuru had been enjoying some vanilla cream cake while listening to the sudden news. However, none of them were at least fazed by what the World Government wanted them to do.
"These are the words coming directly from a very prominent family living in Mariejois; we are duty-bound to obey their orders," Fleet-Admiral Kong stated.
"The last time I performed a raid like that, nearly my entire fleet was sunk. I almost died, and the entire allied nations wouldn't stop talking about it for the next couple of weeks!!" Admiral Zephyr remarked.
It wasn't as if he was scared of Boris. Matter of fact, he had been pushing himself to get better so that he could go toe-to-toe with Boris should they meet each other in the next fight. However, he had a healthy respect for him as well. He knew very well how things would be ending if he didn't do something like that.
"They have also provided extensive funding in order to ensure the operation's success. Moreover, if Kuzan's report was correct, he should have been protecting a child of Ohara with him as well," Fleet Admiral Kong stated.
"You can use that child as leverage to try and ensure his capture; whether or not he'll bite for the bait is left to be seen, but we won't know if we don't try," Admiral Sengoku commented while adjusting his glasses.
"Can you at least try to persuade them that this is a fruitless endeavor? Those children will die, and we might have serious losses on our end as well!" Admiral Zephyr reasoned.
"Zephyr!! Since when have the World Nobles' words become questionable?" Admiral Sengoku asked.
"When they started sending us into death attacks for petty reasons! We are the defenders of Justice, not the bodyguards of the World Nobles!!"
"Enough. Both of you," Fleet-Admiral Kong replied, "There is no need for the both of you to engage in conflict. Especially in the days leading to my retirement."
"We'll just follow their orders. Just to get it out of their systems first. When they go back to their homes, we'll recuperate the missing and dead family members with quite a bit of money from her end," Fleet Admiral Kong remarked before waving Admiral Zephyr away.
Zephyr growled before storming out of the office.
Let me know what y'all think!!!
Love y'all!!!
