Capítulo 233: Cleaning Up

[ Third Person POV ]

A month later, Mariejois

Boris eventually managed to meet up with the crew and leave East Blue; they were currently in Paradise and were on pace to arrive in the New World before the end of the month. As things finally settled, the Five Elders finally decided to cut off some loose ends.

They discussed the number of people out there that needed to be eliminated to establish 'balance.' This wasn't the only thing that had been discussed during the meeting, as they were also creating new proposals that they would be announcing in the Reverie that would be coming up about a year later.

"If we're going to establish some form of order, systems are going to need to be placed," Saint Marcus Mars concluded, "By establishing the Warlord system, we can start placing the checks and balances needed to create an age of order."

"That's a good idea, and we can also start placing some propaganda out there to help build the narrative," Saint Ethanbaron Nusjuro added to the proposal.

"Now that we're done with all of that. I believe that we should address those pestilences known as the Poneglyphs," Saint Jaygarcia completely ended that topic of conversation and proceeded to start a new one, " The fact that the citizens of Ohara have publicly announced that they can translate the Poneglyphs is something that we can't afford to entertain."

"I agree," Saint Ju Peter added, "and the fact that we almost let it become mainstream news is something we should be concerned about."

"It depends on how many know of this, to begin with," Saint Warcury argued.

"Well, according to what their village elder had said, they wanted to give us the news before making it public. Only a few traders and minor travelers who move to and from the island know," Saint Nusjuro recalled.

"Well, it's about time we got rid of them anyway," Saint Mars concluded, "We've been pursuing that woman Olvia for quite some time for snooping around near those Poneglyphs."

"For clarification," Saint Saturn asked, "have they just discovered its translations, or were they finished translating?"

"Apparently, they just finished translating," Saint Warcury responded while looking at a report, "They had already completely translated the language; they just wanted to find all the Poneglyphs and translate them before publishing them all at once."

"Then it only prioritizes the complete elimination of the people of Ohara before it's too late," Saint Ju Peter concluded, "I believe we have already sent agents to seize whatever information they can. We've even allowed them to use a Buster Call should they need to."

"What of Nico Olvia? Is she on the island?" Saint Warcury asked.

"The elimination is postponed because of this," Saint Ju Peter replied, "We can't afford for Nico Olvia to disappear if we strike too early, so I had the CP9 organization wait a while for her arrival. That way, we can wipe them all at once."

"How long will this operation take?" Saint Marcus Mars asked.

"If we want it done correctly, we can only be patient and wait. For now, isolating the island should be the best way forward," Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro replied.

"Well then, we can also have the World Economy News print out some propaganda against Ohara; this will create an even larger rift between Ohara and the rest of the World," Saint Saturn added.

The Five Elders moved on from that discussion topic to Tom's punishment. They had recognized him as a very efficient shipwright and wanted him to build a railway from Water

. The Cipher Pol members, who happened to keep a record of their conversation, immediately dispersed and started executing their orders.

Effectively condemning the people of Ohara to death.

[ Boris POV ]

Hades, sailing towards Sabaody Archipelago

I enjoyed the new ship that we got from Tom. From the way the ship sailed through the sea to the minor luxuries installed. Everything was a significant improvement compared to the ship we had previously used to travel around.

We were on our way back to the New World. Before returning to patrol, I wanted to meet with Whitebeard and show off the new ship. So, Whitebeard had given us a location to meet up with him.

Ironically, we never ran into Garp, from how Stussy explained things. A month ago, a little bit before I had arrived there, the rear admiral that had trapped the crew threatened them with the arrival of Garp.

As an individual to be extremely wary of, Garp gave Stussy a justifiable reason to leave East Blue, and she was about to do so if Pato hadn't asked for my immediate location.

Ironically, no signs of Garp appeared when I arrived on the ship. Then, I gave the order to head back into the New World. We'd been smooth sailing since then, bombing different pirate ships approaching us, stopping by islands for resupplying.

It was one of the few tamer journeys with my crew.

"There's another Pirate ship approaching; I'll handle it!" Ken announced eagerly as he dashed to handle them.

Speaking of Pirates, there was one currently bound in Seastone cuffs that happened to be staying right under the ship. I still hadn't found out what I wanted to do with him, so I left him there for the time being. Naturally, Crocodile wasn't too amused with my lazy decision.

Thinking about him, I started going to the bottom of the ship. Crocodile was still bound in a ragged state from his fight with Ken, it was more than evident that he hadn't readily accepted the outcome of the battle that he had previously with him.

"When are you letting me out of here, you bastard?" Veins protruded from Crocodile's head as he glared at me cynically.

"When I figure out what I'm going to do with you," I replied, "I've already offered you a spot on the crew, but you didn't want to join. Why should I let you roam scott-free after blatantly threatening to kill the captain?"

"Damn right, I'm going to kill him, but I'll make sure to kill you and that fucking lightning bastard first before getting to him!" Crocodile growled.

"See? Words like that don't get you a free pass from those seastone cuffs," I replied before lighting a cigarette.

"Well, at least give me a rematch against that lightning brat; surely that's something you can tolerate, right?" Crocodile proposed.

According to Stussy, the battle between Crocodile and Ken was pretty, even until Ken let out a mix of Haki and lightning right at Crocodile. He didn't have time to respond to the sudden events, so he lost. It had been 'pretty entertaining to watch' according to her.

"Since when do losers decide the outcome of their fate? If you want a rematch, you'll have to ask Ken for it," I responded.

"Fine! Get that bastard here as well! I'm sure he won't mind going at it with me again since I'd already lost!" Crocodile snapped.

"Figure it out yourself; your separation isn't my problem," I refused.

Walking out of the little holding area we had him in, I made my way back to the ship's deck. Only to find that Ken was training there as well.

Suddenly, my transponder snail started ringing, prompting me to pick up the call as I began to sit on a lawn chair.

It was Olvia.
