Capítulo 178: Stubborn
We collided mid-air.
The fact that he had managed to recover from our last battle didn't change the fact that he was still weaker than me. So I ended up sending him flying right back to the sky, and I followed him closely using my wings.
Kaidou immediately regained his bearings, and went right at me again with his Kanabo. I instinctively was about to reach out to grab Labrys, only to grab nothing but air.
"What th-!"
"Thunder Bagua!!!"
His Kanabo immediately made contact with my face as I was caught of guard by the absence of my axe. He must have put all his strength on that swing because he made a loud roar as he send me soaring in a downwards spiral down to the roof that I had been sitting on to watch the fight between Whitebeard and Big Mom.
I immediately destroyed the house and formed a crater right under the house's foundation. The family living there had hidden under the basement. The children screamed as they saw me crash right next to them. When the smoke cleared out, I could clearly make out two kids, a husband and a wife.
They all must've been horrified by what was happening because they all froze as I slowly got up from where I was. If anything, I was more surprised that they hadn't died yet, but it didn't really matter.
One of the kids, the daughter, seemed to be pointing at her nose while she looked at me. It was glaringly obvious that she was still scared of me. However, she kept pointing at her nose for some reason.
It was then that I started feeling a warm stream run down my nose. Bastard had somehow managed to give me a nose bleed.
I wiped away the blood that was streaming down my nose and looked up to the incoming Kaidou. I must have forgotten my axe somewhere again. So now all that was left was to fight him with my bare-hands, unless....
Leaping out of the crater, I looked at Charlotte Amande who happened to be watching the fight with a shocked expression, before slowly looking down on what she had been holding in her hands.
"I guess there's a first time for everything...." I muttered while stepping closer to her.
Technically, I didn't really need a weapon to beat the snot out of Kaidou. However, I've never really used a sword before since coming to this world. It wouldn't hurt playing around with one.....right?
Kaidou landed right between me and Amande before I could take her sword though.
"Where are you going, Boris? We have a fight to enjoy!" Kaidou boomed as he raised his Kanabo to attack again.
I used Soru to appear right in front of him before side kicking his temple. He couldn't react in time because he was still channeling lightning for his next attack. Instead, he slammed into a nearby building, causing it to collapse in itself in the process.
I momentarily forgot about getting Amande's sword and slowly walked up to Kaidou.
He broke out of the debree that had fallen on him and immediately lunged at me. Swinging his Kanabo, I immediately covered my hand with Armament haki before deflecting the swing to a different location.
I then used my other hand to punch him right on the Solar Plexus, momentarily cutting off his breathing before I took a side step to deliver an axe kick right on his shoulder.
The impact brought the man to his knees as he created another crater around us. However, I wasn't done yet.
I immediately raised my other foot to deliver a roundhouse kick that sent him right towards Amande, who instantly leaped away to avoid getting hit by Kaidou's massive frame.
More buildings were decimated as he got a bit further away from me as I walked towards him.
Amande, who landed a bit of a distance nearby, immediately took that oppurtunity to attack me. She lunged at me and raised her sword, judging from the direction, it was easy to assume that her intention was to split me in two. However, I doubt that she knew exactly who she was dealing with.
I immediately raised my hand and caught the sword before it could even land, and used my other hand to grab her neck and hold her high.
"I'm kind of busy here, fuck off," was what I said before chucking her away with her sword.
Kaidou immediately got out of the rubble and began channeling even more lightning and haki towards his Kanabo.
"That cheap shot made my nose bleed, bastard," I remarked.
"Did it? Good! This one will send you right to the grave!!!"
"Ragnarok!!"
With a massive explosion of Conqurer's haki to boot. A baleful aura began to eminate from his Kanabo, he immediately appeared in front of me and swung right down on my head; intending to split my head in two during the process.
I immediately coated my arms with Advanced Armament haki and used Soru to get real upclose to the man. He had been using both of his arms to land his attack, meaning that he had left his body wide open to attack.
I immediately used ryuo and palm slammed him right on the chest, a little bit of a distance away from where his heart should have been at. The attack was actually nearing me when all of this had happened. However, the attack had immediately sent him flying as he crashed into another couple of buildings before flying even further.
Ryuo's power to break things internally along with its ability to immediately repel the target gave me the oppurtunity to send Kaidou packing at an even further distance than I normally would.
Anyway, he ended up flying right into where Big Mom and Whitebeard had been duking it out. Not so far as to actually hit one of them, but it was just far enough for the both of them to notice him.
I summoned my wings and began to fly towards them casually, I wasn't really in a rush to beat him up, asides from watching Big Mom and Whitebeard fight or Roger and Shiki; there wasn't much to do here.
It was Whitebeard who was first to talk to me.
"Brat! What are you doing! You know how I feel about having my battle's interrupted!!"
"Calm down Old man, I was simply toying around, I didn't know he was going to fly all the way here."
"Kaidou! Pull yourself together!" Linlin snapped at Kaidou, who was spitting out quite a bit of blood as he was getting up.
"Shut up, Old hag! The fight's getting good and I don't need you interrupting it!!" Kaidou snapped as he picked up his Kanabo.
"Don't worry, we'll let you get right back to it. I could've ended this much faster if I had my axe on me...." I muttered before appearing in front of Kaidou.
Kaidou seemed to be prepared for what was going to happen next because he immediately raised his guard with his Kanabo. Blocking the strike that was meant to send him flying again, but he wasn't able to completely offset the attacks sheer power. So he ended up moving back quite a bit, well away from the fight that was going on between Whitebeard and Big Mom.
Linlin looked at me furiously before saying:
"After I handle the Old Man, I'm coming after you next!"
"Good luck with that."
With that I immediately kicked the ground and used Soru to disapeear from the battlefield, contemplating where I should hit Kaidou to next.
