While speaking, Michael approached Cynthia, but before he could be happy at the shortening distance, or even try touching her, she spoke in a low voice, her eyes never leaving the TV, sharper and more focused:
"Get out…"
Michael was surprised:
"What?"
Cynthia snapped at him, exploding with more energy than she had ever shown since Helen's death:
"GET OUT!!!"
"!!!"
Michael was left feeling incredulous at how things devolved to an explosion like that.
Before he could recover from Cynthia's outburst, she stood up with anger, her features struggling between sadness, pain, hatred, and all the emotions she was battling through under the hazy cloud of numbness.
"GET OUT!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!!"
