Warning🚫🚫: The following may contain themes of death that could be upsetting to some readers. Please proceed with caution and take care of yourself while reading.

......

Chaos reigns as terror grips a once peaceful town.

The story unfolds with everyone scrambling to save themselves, running for their lives amidst a barrage of mysterious arrows that rain down death upon the unsuspecting crowd.

Ear-piercing screams echoed through the air as dead bodies fell to the ground, like autumn leaves swept away by a fierce gust of wind.

A young girl's desperate cry of "Aunt, aunt!" Rang out as she helplessly watched her beloved aunt, who had been running alongside her, crumple to the ground, struck by the deadly arrows of an unseen assailant.

With her final, labored breath, the aunt urged her niece to flee, gasping "Layla...run, Layla...run" before succumbing to death.

The little girl's world crumbled as she desperately begged her aunt to rise, refusing to accept the harsh reality before her eyes.

"Aunty, wake up, wake up! You can't just leave me here, please get up!" she wept.

Just then, her mother rushed towards her, calling out "Layla, Layla!"

As she reached her daughter, Layla pointed a shaky finger at the lifeless body of her beloved aunt.

"Mum, aunt!" she whimpered.

Her mother's face contorted in grief as she grasped the situation.

"Layla, your aunt is dead, let's go!" her mother urged, trying to pull her away.

But Layla refused to budge. Tears poured down her face like a river as she shook her aunt's lifeless body, begging, "Please wake up, please!"

She continued crying until her father, Gabriel, sprinted towards them, his eyes wide with fear.

"Amanda, Amanda!" he shouted.

Layla sprang to her feet and flung herself into his arms, embracing him tightly.

Gabriel wrapped his arms around Layla, holding her close in a comforting embrace.

He tried to soothe her, but soon released her and said, "Let's go, let's get out of here!"

But Layla resisted, clinging to his arm.

"Dad, Aunt is dead!" she wailed, her small body shaking with sobs.

She was reluctant to leave behind the only home she had ever known, the only life she had ever loved.

But Gabriel was determined. He knew they needed to escape to survive.

"Layla, we need to go," he urged

"They'll kill us if we don't."

"But dad—" Gabriel scooped her up in his arms, and she struggled to free herself, but he held her fast.

Her mother, Amanda, stood by his side, her eyes brimming with tears.

Together, they began to run, fleeing into the unknown, leaving behind everything they once knew, everything they once loved.

"Aunt," Layla whispered, her voice a heartbreaking echo in the chaos as they fled for their lives.

Her father's grip on her tightened as he ran, his wife keeping pace beside them, until they reached the sea's edge.

Panic-stricken people swarmed the docks, desperately seeking refuge on the ships.

Layla's father gently set her down, his trembling hands cradling her cheeks.

"Layla, take care of your mom, okay? Be a good girl," he urged, his eyes welling up with tears.

"What about you, Dad?" Layla asked.

He embraced her tightly, finally letting out his tears as he whispered, "don't worry baby. I'll be here, right behind you."

He couldn't contain his pain anymore. He knew he could no longer delay his duty.

As the king's trusted servant, he had sworn to protect the people, and now he must honor that vow, no matter the personal cost.

With a heavy heart, he made the ultimate sacrifice, willing to give his life to save others, leaving behind his beloved family, his thoughts consumed by the memories of those he loved.

His selfless act would ensure the survival of many, but at the greatest cost: his own life, and the life of a father, a husband, and a hero.

He pulled away from Layla and turned to his wife, his eyes shimmering with tears.

"Take care of yourself," he whispered, as he embraced her one last time.

Then, with a final glance at Layla, he urged them towards the safety of the ship.

Layla's mother nodded, tears streaming down her face, and rushed to carry her daughter, who clung to her father, refusing to let go.

"No, Daddy, no!" Layla wailed, her arms wrapped tightly around his waist.

Gabriel took a deep breath, then tenderly scooped Layla up in his arms, cradling her close one last time.

He held her near, savoring the moment, before gently handing her over to her mother.

Amanda swiftly embraced her, and rushed away, carrying Layla towards the ship.

"Dad! Dad!" Layla cried, her tiny voice pleading as she was unwillingly torn from Gabriel's side.

Amanda ran with desperate haste, her gaze darting back for one last, sorrowful glance at her husband.

Gabriel stood tall, watching his family disappear into the ship, his own heart hurting with the knowledge he might never see them again.

Brushing away his tears, he steeled himself and turned to assist others - the wounded, the lost, and the frightened children who had been separated from their parents in the chaos.

Meanwhile, nine-year-old Layla stood patiently, her big brown eyes fixed intently on the chaotic scene unfolding before her, as frantic passengers rushed to board the ship, her small heart aching with every passing moment, longing for the safe return of her beloved father.

But suddenly, tragedy struck in a swift and brutal manner.

Arrows rained down from an unseen enemy, more relentless than before.

Layla's father, Gabriel, was struck down by one of these deadly arrows, his body crumpling to the ground.

Layla and her mother, Amanda, were left devastated, clinging to each other in grief as they watched the life drain from his eyes.

The ship, now a symbol of escape and survival, began to move away from the chaos, leaving Layla's heart shattered.

Her cries of pain pierced through the cacophony, a haunting echo of her unbearable loss.

"Noooo! Daddy!" she wailed.

"Dad! Dad!" she screamed.

With tears streaming down her cheeks like rivers of sorrow, Layla was forced to leave her father's lifeless body behind, her heart irreparably broken.

The ship sailed on, carrying her towards an uncertain future, as she was torn away from the only home she had ever known.

The distance grew between her and her father's still form, yet her anguish only intensified, as if the sea itself was expanding to swallow her pain.

....

Layla's exhausted body finally succumbed to sleep, her mother's warm embrace a comforting solace after her prolonged cry.

The arduous journey across the sea had seemed interminable, but finally, the ship came to a gentle halt.

As they disembarked, a collective confusion gripped the passengers.

Before them stood an unexpected barrier - a mysterious wall that seemed to confine them to this new land.

The people exchanged perplexed glances, their fatigue momentarily forgotten.

Layla's mother tenderly lifted her daughter into her arms, as they disembarked onto dry land.

Cradling Layla close, she stepped off the ship and into the unknown, where a formidable wall towered before them, casting a long, ominous shadow across the terrain.

The sense of helplessness was clear as people clung to their loved ones, unable to move forward despite having endured so much to reach this point.

Some brave men stepped forward with hammers, determined to break down the wall that stood in their way.

But their efforts only resulted in injury, the wall remaining stubbornly intact.

Layla's mother sat down near the wall, cradling her daughter's head in her lap.

She thought of her late husband and sister as tears cascaded down her cheeks, each one a testament to the pain and loss she had endured.

******

Ten long years had passed since the barrier's arrival, and the people remained trapped, their dreams of exploration and discovery slowly fading like the memories of a bygone era.

The once-ambitious villagers, who had once longed to venture beyond the barrier's confines, now resigned themselves to building their lives along the towering wall that imprisoned them.

They clung to the hope of one day breaking free, but as the years dragged on, that hope began to dwindle.

The older villagers, who had witnessed the calamity that had befallen their world a decade ago, slowly faded away, leaving behind only whispers of a unforgotten past and unanswered questions that hung in the air like the mist that shrouded the barrier.

In the midst of this existence, one young woman stood out - Layla.

Layla's upbringing in a humble, muddy bungalow with her devoted mother, Amanda, had instilled in her, determination and a fierce sense of justice.

Despite the taunts from some of the villagers, who mocked her for being ugly.

Layla paid them no mind. Her focus was singular - avenging the deaths of her family and the others who had perished 10 years ago, when tragedy had struck the village and sealed their fate.

Growing into a young woman of strength, Layla found happiness in friendships with those who shared the same desire as her.

Together with her allies, Layla plotted and planned, gathering support and resources for the day when they would make their stand against the forces that had caused them pain, and she swore to take revenge.

Despite occasional whispers of doubt and fear, Layla remained steadfast in her mission to avenge the deaths of 10 years ago, refusing to let anything weaken her resolve.
