At Diaz Hotel.
"Sir."
"Did she come?" Gerald asked coldly.
"Yes, she arrived at the airport four hours ago," Matthew answered.
Hearing his response, Gerald smiled. Matthew, who was in front of him, saw this and was shocked. He couldn't understand why the boss was asking about a girl whom he had seen five years ago.
"Is she here yet?"
"Uhm, sir, I haven't seen her yet," he answered in fear because he was afraid of making his boss angry.
"You may leave," he said coldly.
Looking at his boss, he didn't even breathe cause he knew how mad he was. He walked out hurriedly and closed the private door. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on his side since he saw the Old master and old madam in front of him, making him take a step behind.
"What's wrong with you?" The old Mr Powell asked angrily, making him shake his head.
"What are you afraid of? You aren't even breathing. Can you calm down and breathe in first?" The old Mrs Powell said, trying her best not to be angry and to control herself and also in fear of leading the young man to his coffin.
Nodding his head, he breathed in thus being relaxed.
"Where is he?"
"He is inside," Matthew said.
"What's wrong with this bastard? Does he know that everyone is waiting for him downstairs so that the party may begin?" the old man asked angrily. Sighing out, he said, "You may go. I will take care of him."
Matthew walked away hurriedly to get out of their presence, since he had always been afraid of them. The old people walked in only to find their grandson smoking while seated.
"Don't you want the company anymore?" the old Mr Powell asked coldly.
"Grandpa.." he answered as he looked up to them.
"What's wrong with you?" Old Mrs Powell asked softly, since she loved her eldest grandson so much.
"Nothing," he answered as he lowered his gaze.
"If there isn't anything wrong, then let us go downstairs. If you refuse, then I will go and announce your cousin as the president of the company," the old man threatened.
"You won't do that. That's my hard work," he answered coldly as he looked at his grandfather.
Seeing that they would start arguing, and it was supposed to be a happy day, Old Mrs Powell intervened. " If you don't go out, how will you know that your wife has come?"
"She isn't here granny," he said with a broken and sad expression. After all, he didn't have to be brave in front of those who raised him.
"Be a man and go outside. So what if she hasn't come? Are you going to risk your future because of a woman?" The old Mr Powell asked angrily.
"Says the man who spoils his wife," Gerald answered with a scoff, making his grandma chuckle.
"Stop arguing with your grandfather. You should go downstairs. How will you know when she arrives?"
After thinking for some minutes, he agreed and followed his grandparents out.
On the other hand,
"We are already an hour late, I guess the party has already started. Let us use the back door," Faith suggested.
"No. They must see how stunning we look," Arielle said as she walked to the front door without waiting for them.
"Just let us follow her," Aurora said with a sigh.
When they were in front of the front door, they found that it was already closed, but as shameless as they were, they opened it making everyone inside turn in that direction.
[I thought that Gerald had already arrived?]
Everyone asked because they thought that everyone had arrived.
[Yes. I saw him.]
[I wonder who is so shameless to use the front door after they come late.]
[Me too. And to come to think that this is the Powell's....]
The murmurs ended as they felt the cold and domineering auras making them cower in fear. Looking at the front, they were shocked to see three beautiful women who were walking as if everything else in the world didn't matter.
The men couldn't take their eyes off them due to their beauty and looked at them with awe and some with ill intentions, while most of the women were looking at them with jealousy.
[Why do they look familiar?]
Luciana and her parents, Edward and her family, were shocked to see who had entered the room. Even if they wanted to deny that fact, Faith's presence with them confirmed what they were thinking. Luciana was filled with envy when she saw how stunning they looked, which made her feel inferior. She wondered how they could be so beautiful even after being chased out of the family and living in poverty, as she believed. She whispered something to Cindy, who was next to her.
Getting control of her emotions, she turned her head to look at them with a smile.
"Siz" she shouted, making everyone look at her. After seeing that she had gotten the attention that she wanted, she walked towards Aurora and Arielle and stood in their way.
"Move," the three women said unisonly and coldly, making most people flinch in fear.
Even if she felt a cold shiver running down her spine, she pretended to be calm and smiled before talking. "Sister Aurora and Sister Arielle, where have you been? Do you know that we have been looking for both of you since five years ago?"
[No wonder they looked familiar. So they are the two daughters of the Adams Family.]
[They are so beautiful now that they have grown up. They are just as beautiful as their mother.] People murmured.
"Who the hell are you calling your sister?" Arielle asked angrily, while her eyes were cold as a freezer. "As far as I remember, my mother gave birth to Aurora and me. You had better remember your place, you are nothing but a bastard."
"Enough. Aurora, are you going to let her talk to your sister like that?" Edward asked as he walked towards them.
"I didn't hear her saying something wrong and why should I correct her? This woman isn't my sister but a bastard." Aurora sneered.
