Capítulo 40: The way to a man's heart

There's a brief silence, and Robin wonders if Malik is even in his office. Just as she's about to turn and leave, she hears a voice.

"Come in," Malik calls out gruffly.

The door swings open, and Malik looks up from his computer, revealing the man's stern, angular features.

his expression is unreadable as he gazes at her. "Ms. Emerson," he says, his voice neutral. "What can I do for you?"

"Hi, Malik," Robin replies, mustering a pleasant tone. "I, uh, made some extra chicken and curry for the team, and I thought you might like to try it as well." She holds out the covered dish, a hopeful smile on her lips.

Malik pauses, his brow furrowing slightly. "That's very kind of you, but I actually have a meeting coming up soon, and I need to focus on preparing for that." He glances at the clock on his desk. "Perhaps another time?"

Robin nods, trying not to let her disappointment show.
