James' expression became ugly when he heard Klaus' words. He couldn't believe Klaus would have the audacity to bring back the bet they made. 

He was a fourth star king of war, while Klaus was just a mere Private, the power gap between them was far too great that Klaus should be quivering in his presence, let alone bring back the bet they made earlier.

"I only wanted to ensure Miss Tessa replaced the old gift with a proper one, not that I was serious or anything."

There was no doubt that the new gift was priceless. Many people would be willing to give up their life to obtain it, let alone purchase it with money, the price would just keep going on and going on without any victor. 

Millie stepped in for her partner. She couldn't believe Klaus was bringing the bet up, if James kneels for Klaus who was Tessa's bodyguard, wouldn't that be a big slap to her face. 

There was no way she would allow that.
