Capítulo 8: 8 - Breaking the seal?
Finally set to keep moving, she was on her way to Veldora.
Andromeda raced across the looming cavern. She avoided a large underground lake in the process. She raced back towards where Veldora was sealed at a record pace- for herself at least.
Teleporting when she could, running as fast as she could, all that good stuff to pick up the pace. Still, if she didn't have the torch she made... it would have taken much, much longer.
As she arrived, she noticed something. Veldora didn't seem... all that lonely. As she made her way through the cavern, she could sense something as well as hear it.
Creeping around the corner, she saw a very strange sight. Veldora's voice she had heard before was booming with excitement as he spoke with... something?
She couldn't make out what it was... but the one thing she could tell was the extremely violent and powerful aura emanating from it. She felt as if it, although inferior to Veldora's aura, it was still very intimidating.
Seeing Veldora so excited... she couldn't help but think it had to be safe. It was naive thinking, she knew that. Still, she trusted the tsundere dragon.
She wanted to free him from his prison, this was a fact. So she continued forward. Although she wasn't confident in a fight... she trusted that she might just be able to sacrifice the enemy... or at least any gear they have, if she couldn't sacrifice living things.
Creeping closer, she saw Veldora point at her and say, "Oh! Andromeda! There you are my friend... I- I thought you left me"
Looking at his gestures, body language, and expression... she could tell he seemed a little sad. This caused her to feel a little bad about it.
Walking closer, she said, "Sorry... I kind of forced myself to evolve a little. Speaking of- how long was I out?"
Veldora shook his head in disappointment. He then said, "Who knows... I have literally no sense of time because of how long I've been trapped in this godforsaken cave..."
Andromeda sighs and things to herself, 'Yeah... that makes sense... oh wait-'
As soon as she thought of it, she asked Veldora, "How did you know it's me? I look completely different... Also, who's our new friend over there?"
As she pointed at the little slime which was to her left, Veldora began to answer, "How did I know it was you? Easy! Our souls have been linked when I named you as an equal- it would be stupid of me not to know it was you!"
Then he shifted his hand to point at the little slime, and he continued saying, "And our new friend here is- Rimuru!!!"
The little slime has a small tendril that emerges from its body and does a small waving motion, "Uhh... Hi there! I assume you were the one in that magisteel egg I found."
Scratching her head... she told Rimuru, "While I'd love to hear your story... I figured something out about my powers, and I might be able to break Veldora out!"
Veldora's body language jumped up in excitement as soon as he heard her speak, then he said, "O- Oh! It must be my lucky day- I was telling Rimuru to wait for you to try getting me out first. He says he has his own way to possibly break me out... but I was right to wait for you! Quickly, tell me about it!"
As Veldora excitedly waited, Rimuru looked a little restless on the side. He didn't really have a chance to speak through this entire exchange, and he was sure he knew who this Andromeda person was.
He knew it had been about a month since he found the egg where someone was evolving. This lined up with how this lizardman- or whatever she was, said she had just evolved. Along with this, she spoke of a unique skill. This also lined up with great sage's analysis of the flames from before, which were sourced from a unique skill called sacrifice.
He logically concluded that she must have been the one in the egg evolving, and from that- the unique skill. Considering how he was also going to use unique skills to remove the barrier, he decided along with Veldora that she would attempt to break him out first.
Rimuru expressed his thoughts by a small comment, "Mmm, I agree."
Once she got their approval, Andromeda began to explain what she wanted to do, "I did a few tests with one of my unique skills and..."
Slamming her hand into the ground painfully to get another piece of stone to give an example, she took the tiny chunk and said, "I can use it to sacrifice stuff just to get rid of it and replace it with something else... or I can get myself nothing from it"
Showing them an example, she sacrifices the small piece of stone and creates a small puff of flames from it. After the flames quickly extinguished without anything to fuel it, she picked up another small chunk off the ground and sacrificed it into nothingness.
Veldora let out a hearty booming laugh, then he said,"Cool! Cool! So... you're going to sacrifice the seal and make something cool with it right?"
Andromeda thought that was a good idea, and she was about to respond when Rimuru said, "You didn't actually turn that rock into nothing... I just thought you'd want to know that."
Looking over surprised, she said, "What? I didn't?"
Nodding with his little slime body, Rimuru said, "No, I could see with my magic sense that you actually turned it into magicules."
Andromeda then said, "Hmm... well that sounds interesting."
Veldora commented, "Well... wouldn't that work well on a barrier or seal? I mean, you're removing the components that make it up entirely! HAHAHAHAHA!! THIS WILL TOTALLY WORK!"
All three of them were anticipating the removal of the seal, Veldora was obviously the most excited though. Rimuru scooted over to Andromeda and said, "Just make sure you don't kill us all with that skill."
She shook her head and said, "What are you, my dad? Don't worry... I'll only get the seal. I assure you."
Rimuru then responded, "Just making sure... that skill you have is very dangerous."
Finally, it was time. They held their breath in anticipation as she thought of what to turn the seal into. Finally, She ended up deciding to turn it into her own magicules. Instead of wasting it all and letting it flow free into the environment.
She wanted to try out her relativity skill more. But she knew that took an immense amount of magicules. After this... she should be able to actually try it out.
And finally, she activated her unique skill designating ONLY the seal as her target while telling it to turn the seal into the form of expanding upon her own magicule reserves.
In an intimidating tone, Andromeda says, "Sacrifice"
The seal holding Veldora Erupted into crimson-black flames.
