Flames crackled, and the cauldron steamed.
Andy carefully followed the steps in the Slytherin notebook.
The potion ingredients were prepared and then placed in the cauldron in the correct order.
Reed stood next to Andy like a puppet, holding a wand in his hand. Andy takes control of Reed whenever he needs to do something and uses magic to guide him.
Yes, a wand is needed to prepare a potion!
Muggles cannot make a potion, even if they have all the ingredients and follow the instructions carefully.
This is because the preparation of a potion requires magical guidance and sometimes the use of a wand.
Andy finally felt a sense of relief after being busy for more than an hour.
"Done!"
Looking at the cauldron of scarlet potion in front of him, Andy's heart was filled with exhilaration.
This is the future!
If he just remains patient for another month, Andy will be able to verify whether this path of dark magic transfiguration is feasible.
If successful, Andy's strength can improve rapidly in a short period of time. He may even grow strong enough to defend himself against powerful people like Dumbledore and Voldemort.
It's not just about the enchantment brought by dark magic transfiguration,
Once Andy verifies that the body after dark magic transfiguration can accommodate Obscurus, Andy may become an Obscurial.
Mind, body, and spirit in perfect harmony!
According to the theory of Eastern countries, this is the right path, the only path(?).
The human body has its limits.
Even if magic transfiguration is successful and the body is transformed into a magical life form, there is still an upper limit to human existence.
Take Voldemort as an example!
The gap between Voldemort and ordinary wizards is very large, even so large that it is despairing, but it is not in the range of 'outrageous'.
Moreover, Voldemort probably reached the upper limit of magic transfiguration.
If Snape is the upper limit of an ordinary wizard, then Dumbledore and Voldemort are the upper limit after magic transfiguration.
The difference is that Dumbledore may not have undergone magic transfiguration, but he has inherited the power of the Phoenix, passed down from his ancestors.
Andy has looked up information on the Dumbledore family.
This family is not very ancient, and its origin is unknown.
Andy therefore speculated that Dumbledore's ancestors may have obtained the power of the Phoenix through magic transfiguration and that it happened not too long ago, which is why Dumbledore's bloodline was so powerful.
It wasn't just the old Headmaster!
Everyone in the Dumbledore family was beyond ordinary.
The only known two Obscurial in the wizarding world who had lived to be over ten years old, one of whom was Dumbledore's sister and the other was Dumbledore's nephew.
In fact, this confirmed Andy's theory.
The magic transfiguration had changed one's body to accommodate the Obscurus' ability.
But they still died!
So Andy guessed that the Phoenix power in these two people's bodies was actually not strong.
If Dumbledore had become an Obscurial, he might have lived longer—after all, although Dumbledore was not a successful wizard who transformed his body, he inherited the phoenix power from his ancestors.
If it were Voldemort...
Andy thinks that Voldemort's body may be highly compatible with the Obscurus and may even be able to perfectly accommodate the Obscurus's power.
Because Voldemort has a body that has been magically transformed!
What a wonderful body...
"Slurp!"
To be honest, if he could just pin Voldemort down on the lab table, Andy feels that he could solve most of the Wizarding World's mysteries.
Soul, Obscurus, and magic transfiguration!
These questions can all be solved by examining Voldemort's body.
Unfortunately, Andy can't defeat him right now.
But then again, when Andy can defeat Voldemort, Voldemort will be of no use.
But it's okay.
Although the experiment can't be done, the theory is still sufficient! The results of the Black family's experiment and the example of Dumbledore's two relatives are the best proof of the 'Obscurus Survival Theory'.
1. Obscurus' inability to adjust to stable magic is the reason it departs from the host.
2: Possessing the power of magic transfiguration allows the Obscurus to stay in the host for a longer period of time.
3: One can perfectly adapt to the Obscurus by possessing the body of a magic transfiguration and even becoming the eternal host of the Obscurus, sharing both glory and misfortune.
At present, Andy only needs to verify the third point.
Perhaps Grindelwald can give Andy a clear answer.
Grindelwald was Dumbledore's best friend in his younger days, and he had met Dumbledore's sister, so he might have studied the power of the Obscurus.
"Hmm..."
The only problem now was whether the Obscurus and the Fat Cat Patronus could coexist!
In theory, they could.
The Fat Cat Patronus was a derivative of the charm, and it did not exist within Andy but rather existed within the magic of the Patronus Charm.
And...
Most importantly, the Fat Cat Patronus represents positive emotions, while the Obscurus represents negative emotions.
One unleashes emotions, the other suppresses them.
One is good, the other is evil.
It's like the negative and positive sides of the universe!
It's the same with people.
No one is purely good or purely evil.
People are multifaceted. If we generalise, people's personalities can also be divided into good and evil.
According to the theories our ancestors summarised, this is the best result.
The Fat Cat Patronus, perhaps, can further suppress the Obscurus within Andy so that it cannot escape Andy's control.
The universe and everything have a negative and positive side. It seems like they are completely separate but they are intertwined.
If Andy really becomes an Obscurial,
Then the Fat Cat Patronus and the Obscurus will represent the positive and negative sides of Andy at the same time, and they will be entangled.
The Fat Cat Patronus is an external representation of the good side of him that needs to be shown to the world.
The Obscurus is an internal representation of the dark side that needs to be kept hidden.
"Hmm," Andy nodded.
The theory was perfect!
So next...
Andy glanced over at Reed, then controlled him to return to the iron cage, leaving him with enough food and water to sustain him.
Locking the cage and the basement, Andy stood next to the cauldron and double-checked everything.
After making sure everything was in order, Andy Apparated back to the Forbidden Forest and then used the Disillusionment Charm to return to the castle.
'One month!' Andy silently calculated the time.
On the 14th of December, it would be the time for Reed to perform the magic transfiguration, and everything would be put to the test.
If the experiment was successful...
Andy would immediately carry out the magic transfiguration.
The ritual of dark magic transfiguration would take 49 days, brewing the potion would take a month, and waiting for the new moon would take a maximum of one month.
'Less than four months!'
'If all goes well, I'll be able to complete my transformation by next April!'
