After a few hours, we finally arrived, but I couldn't proceed with my tasks immediately and went straight to the person who assigned us. I also needed to find out where I was because my absence was so sudden.

The doctor told me, "I know about your situation, Valencia. It's okay, so you don't need to make up for the day you missed in your OJT." He said this calmly from behind his desk. He was wearing glasses and looked at me over them.

I was surprised. "Really?"

I wasn't sure what they used as a reason for my absence, but it didn't matter anymore because it was more important that I didn't have to make up for the day. I didn't want to fall behind either.

He nodded and said, "Yes." His face looked serious but kind.

"Thank you, doctor. I appreciate your understanding," I said. I had been tense earlier because I was worried they might give me a bad evaluation. I really needed that evaluation.
