... It's true that Kaelith Bloodfane was the one who defeated all the Chromids but unfortunately, Arkus Maguire stabbed him behind the back. Kaelith didn't have the chance to fight back as he exhausted all his mana in defending his team from being devoured at the same time attacking those monsters that came close to them.

Arkus Maguire and Kaelith Bloodfane were rivals although Kaelith tried his best to befriend Arkus ever since they were in the Academy. They even went to the same guild but because of Arkus' inferiority complex towards Kaelith, he hated everything about him, everytime he completed a quest, Kaelith would complete an even bigger quest so when they were tasked to complete a mission, that's when he saw an opportunity, he stabbed Kaelith and pushed him on a cliff.
