Capítulo 1: Meeting R.O.B

"Open the door! Police!" The man's voice boomed as he pounded on the door, a handgun gripped firmly in one hand.

He wore the standard police uniform, complete with a black vest and a badge gleaming on his chest. His face was freshly shaved, and his buzz cut hinted at a military background, lending an air of authority to his presence.

After the man's command, a heavy silence enveloped the scene. Thirty seconds passed, and the man's patience wore thin. Without hesitation, he forcefully kicked open the door and stormed into the house, gun leading the way.

His eyes darted around the room as he advanced cautiously, searching for the perpetrator responsible for the deaths of 64 individuals this month alone. Other officers had shied away from the case due to the criminal's connections to the governor, but this man was undeterred. His motivation wasn't solely driven by patriotism; it was fueled by a personal vendetta. Among those 64 victims was his own daughter, and he swore to avenge her death at any cost. Even if it meant sacrificing his own life, he was determined to ensure that the man responsible for his daughter's murder would face justice.

After scouring the entire living room, the officer headed straight for the door he presumed led to the bedroom. With determination, he swung it open, revealing the sight he had long dreaded: the man responsible for his daughter's death.

But what he saw only fueled his rage further. There sat the culprit, lounging on an opulent couch, casually sipping wine while two women fawned over him. Despite the gravity of his crimes, the man appeared untainted, his smile a mockery to the officer's anguish. This sight only intensified the officer's burning desire for justice.

"Levi Watson, you're under arrest for the murder of 64 people at the Stacy Mall. Stop what you're doing and put your hands behind your head," the police officer commanded, his voice strained with the effort to maintain composure and restrain his seething rage.

Ignoring the officer's words, Levi chuckled in disbelief. He hadn't expected law enforcement to actually come for him, despite his connections. He thought it was a joke when they said someone was coming for him but he didn't actually think it was real.

"Hmm... to think you actually came for me," Levi remarked, casually setting down his wine glass on the table as he rose from the embrace of the two indifferent girls who seemed undisturbed by the presence of the police officer. "Let me guess, one of the victims was related to you," Levi continued, his astuteness hitting the mark.

Without waiting for a response, Levi chuckled sinisterly. "If I were you, I would put that gun down and follow me. I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt," he suggested, moving the gun aside and sauntering out of the room. The police officer stood frozen, torn between his burning desire to exact revenge and his duty to uphold the law. Despite his inner turmoil, he followed Levi, his gun trained on Levi's head, prepared to act if things took a dangerous turn.

After 10 seconds of tense silence, they finally reached the end of the hall, where a door stood with a bloodied doorknob. "I bet you're wondering why I killed so many people," Levi remarked, halting before the door and turning to face the vigilant police officer, a smirk playing on his lips.

After ten seconds of silence, Levi sighed, realizing the police officer wasn't going to respond " my mother was an abusive woman" he began his voice tinged with bitterness"No matter what I did, she'd always beat me up. If I get all A's, she beats me up. If I clean the whole house, she'd lock me in the freezer. Even when I just sleep on my bed, she'd throw me in a lake hoping I'll drown. She messed me up so much that whenever I hear someone with the same name as hers I really just want to KILL THEM!!"

He continued, his smile more sinister than ever. "I figured there was something wrong with me, so I went to see a psychiatrist. And you know what he said? He said I should just let it all out.so I did. I killed every person in this town that shared my mother's name including my mother and it felt good." As Levi spoke, the police officer's expression grew increasingly horrified, wondering as to how deranged this man can be and the sanity of the psychiatrist who had treated him

Levi chuckled at the sight of the police officer pale face, relishing in the reaction he had finally elicited. "Well, in order to commemorate my kills and reward myself for my good deeds, I kept this," Levi declared gesturing toward the room. As he swung the door open, a grisly scene unfolded before them: the lifeless bodies of Levi's victims hung from the ceiling reminiscent of how butchers display their meat each body having an x mark on their head.

The words "You Son of a --" were barely out of the police officer's mouth before a deafening bang filled the room. The officer, consumed by pure rage, had been seconds away from pulling the trigger on Levi when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. Looking down, he saw his uniform stained with blood and a hole in his bulletproof vest. As he looked up to see who had shot him, he caught sight of a muscular man wearing a green tank top and black pants, holding an AK-12 rifle in his hands. The sound of the gunshot still ringing in his ears, the officer realized that he was now at the mercy of this armed intruder.

The police officer stumbled and fell, exhausted and defeated. Levi's manic laughter echoed through the alleyway, mocking the officer's weakness. As he struggled to catch his breath, the officer questioned every decision that led him to this moment. If he had never enlisted in the army, he would have been able to spend more time with his daughter. But then again, maybe it wasn't so bad. At least he would get to see her again, even if it was in death. Was it worth it? The officer didn't know anymore.

As the police officer lay on the ground, barely conscious and accepting his impending death, his mind was suddenly transported back to a painful memory. He was standing in a hospital room, watching his wife lay on a bed with their 7-month-old daughter cradled in her arms.

"I'm grateful I get to see and hold her one last time before I go," she whispered, gently kissing her daughter on the forehead. The officer could see tears forming in her eyes as she savored the precious moments left with her family.

"I tried everything I could, but I still couldn't save you," he murmured, struggling to hold back his own tears as he etched this moment into his memory. "I am a failure of a husband."

"Don't say that," his wife said softly, reaching out to hand their daughter to him. "You did your best. This is just my destiny and we can't change it."

"Honey, promise me you'll always be with our princess," she pleaded, tears now streaming down her face. "Always protect her no matter what. Can you do that for me?"

"I will, I promise," he replied, finally letting go of his tough exterior as tears flowed freely down his cheeks.

"Good," she sighed, closing her eyes with a peaceful smile on her face. She was ready to embrace death.

"I love you," he whispered, holding her hand tightly as the heart monitor behind them let out a long beep, signaling her passing.

The police officer snapped out of his memories with determination burning in his eyes. With one last burst of energy, he searched through his vest for something important.

The weight of the situation pressed heavily on his shoulders, causing him to falter in his steps. The thought of facing his wife without avenging their daughter's death filled him with dread and shame. He frantically searched through his vest, fingers fumbling as he desperately grasped for a solution. Finally, he brought out a hand grenade, its metal casing cool against his trembling hands. But even as he raised it towards the enemy, his body betrayed him in his final moments, drained of all energy and unable to pull the pin. The grenade slipped from his nerveless grasp, and he fell to the ground in defeat and exhaustion.

The screams of the police officer echo through his mind as he desperately struggles to hold onto the grenade, sweat beading on his forehead. "No!" He roars in anger and determination, fueled by the memory of his dead daughter. "I won't give up now!" With a final surge of strength, he yanks the pin from the explosive, triggering a deafening blast that rocks the already quiet room. Levi's face drains of color as he realizes what has happened - a grenade without a pin in the hands of the police officer. But before he can react, it's too late. The smirk on the officer's face is one of twisted satisfaction as the bomb explodes, shattering the entire house and everyone within it into pieces.

As the police officer closes his eyes, he braces for the explosion that never comes. Confused and disoriented, he slowly opens his eyes to find himself sitting in a white room on a comfortable chair. Across from him sits an old man in a black tux, sipping tea and looking at him with amusement.

Before the officer can even utter a word, the old man speaks up. "Before you start asking questions and wasting our time, let me introduce myself. I am what some of you humans call a R.O.B. And I have been observing you, Roberts. Your actions towards your daughter were truly selfless and touching."

Roberts is taken aback by the mention of his daughter and is still trying to process the strange situation he has found himself in.

The old man continues, "I have chosen you as an experiment for my research. Don't worry, you are not dead. But your life will never be the same again."
