Capítulo 48: Chapter 48 Threats

Shen Mianmian, still on her way home, had no idea what had happened at home. Due to the upcoming end of the term, the two-day weekend had been shortened to one day; there would be no school tomorrow.

She bought an extra two steamed buns and put them in her backpack, preparing for tomorrow's sustenance, when she bumped into Lu Siyuan, who was also buying steamed buns. The two of them ended up walking back together.

The heavy snow had stopped now, and the road was slick and cold. Walking on the untouched snow, they made a crunching sound with every step.

Lu Siyuan had five or six steamed buns in his hand that swung to and fro with his movements. With a child his age, she didn't have much to talk about, so each walked in silence, without exchanging words.

As they were nearing Shu Tun, he suddenly blurted out, "Are you going to the city tomorrow?"

She was taken aback and instinctively replied, "What for?" Her mind raced, and she continued, "Are you going to the city tomorrow?"
