Capítulo 26: The Results

Maisie returns to her room tired and exhausted from working the entire day.

She rushed to take a shower and came back to get dressed.

Standing in front of the mirror, she traced her finger across the scar on her face. 

She was inflicted with the scar in jail because Olivia and Ethan had instructed the inmates to do so.

Compared to Zachary's almost domineering aura, Ethan was like a painting that existed and didn't exist.

But she was very clear that after this painting was a monstrous creature.

Last time, she was deceived by Ethan's kind demeanor.

Zachary was the type who did more and said less, often making people misunderstand him as arrogant and impolite. 

Maybe it was because she had a near-close encounter with Ethan, so now she felt that Zachary was much more pleasing to the eye than Ethan.
