Capítulo 29: 28 . Bloodied Axe Part 1
POV : MIKAEL
Mika was heading back to the blacksmith to pick up his axe . If the man was being truth full , it's finishing tie should be soon .
He was at least more knowledgeable than when he left and he had a lot to process from the information given .
The emperor of mankind was a very interesting topic for him . Why did the system give him a second chance or was he that important . What did he do in the time that he wondered outside the tower that could allow him to reclaim his worth . What happened to him after he built his kingdom .
The guy was a mystery that lacked any sort of answer . But at least his story allowed Mikael to understand several factors . Loosing all your worth was something he should not ever let happen to himself .
He remembered the conversation he had with the supreme one and recalled how it emphasized the importance of worth in entering the tower but , what did loosing all you worth imply . Was it death ? And how exactly would one loose all his worth , failing a mission ? Dying in a random world .or was it simply decided by the system .
Mika had too many questions but zero answers.
He then remembered what the robbed lady had told him before he left . A small piece of advice for a forming friendship she implied .
' Maximize everything you can do in the beginner worlds '
What was she implying . That there was a hidden reward for doing so or was there something special that would happen from his actions . Mika did not know . But he did understand doing anything possible to achieve victory would give him better advantages .
He also needed to know how to start using breath . Would his innate ability allow him to do so , it was a possibility but if there was a faster way , he would not mind knowing .
He still had a lot of time left before his resting time was over . What should he do now . Should he buy something . Or should he go back to his room and take a nap . Maybe he should start retraining himself . To get better synced with his body .
The options were many but Mika did not know which to use . Buying anything right now could be pointless as not only did he not know which type of world he would go to , he also did not know what would be useful in such a world . Training would not be very use full with lack of a weapon and sleeping was not a very productive thing to do .
Mika walked back to the blacksmith store and took a sit on a bench nearby the shop . The area was well lit and he could still see the other shops had visiting customers coming and going . Did the people ever rest or everyone's resting time was different depending on the time they leave a random world .
Like even now , Zoe had still not completed her mission or she had already completed it and was now onto the next . Time was truly strange in this space . How did it even work exactly . His internal clock was off and relying on it any longer would be foolish .
Mika decided to wait for his axe to be completed as he perused the infinite towers amenities using the map function . A huge holographic map of the entire tower appeared in front of him but in miniaturized form .
Mika noticed that apart from the complete bottom part of the tower , everything going upwards was greyed out . Showing his clear lack of access . But the bottom in itself was big enough with everything that he was already seeing . It was like a large continent was compressed inside this structure and not surprising at all, he hardly walked away from his surrounding.
From what he could see , the land was divided into several places in a sort of district ot regions .
The bottom area also had sections like the blacksmith section he now occupied , there was a trading section / market , a sort of training ground section , a medical section and an auction house . He could understand the function of most of the things . Other areas of the bottom part were grayed out lacking any name to showcase what they were.
Mikael for some reason felt anxious because of this . As if the fact was something that would surprise him but for now , he'd put the worry for later
But what he was most interested in was the auction house and the training grounds . He would visit the training grounds after he got his axe . He also decided that he would walk around the market for awhile but for now , Mika was already bored of waiting . Maybe he should pay more for the axe to be made quicker .
Mika leaned back onto the bench as he looked up at the sky . It was almost shocking how clear the stars were with the brightness of the area was but it was something he appreciated .
He felt his body relax as ne entered a state of complete calm . His reality was ever reaffirming itself with all the strangeness he was experiencing as memories from his past life came to him . He was entranced and he felt as if he was seeing two things from two different perspective .
One was from a young boy who could do nothing but watch his mother bleed out , dying under the beautiful night sky and the other of now , the young boy had grown up leaving once again after his death . It was confusing and he felt a sort of detachment he did not understand .
' Always remember to love yourself Mikael . And make sure you also love others '
Mika had never understood those words . Why would a dying person say such words ? Why were her last words to him to love himself and others ? And why did Mika feel his heart break when he heard her speak those last words to him .
He could remember everything from that day . Her smile as she was bleeding . The number of times she blinked before her eyes lost their light , the number of breaths she took , the scenery of the night sky and even the emotion that soon came after she passed .
For someone who had his emotions suppressed as much as he did in his past life the sheer hate and anger he felt was overwhelming . The loneliness paralyzed him after the event but the malice he felt for his own brother would not let him rest . His very being denied to rest .
" Huhhh " Mika breathed out heavily . Going through the life he had . He truly had no purpose after accomplishing his own vengeance . He had lived for the sole reason of acquiring revenge and without it , what was he !! A doll with his string cut .
And at the brink of vanishing , he met the supreme one and his goals changed . He wanted to know how it felt to live for himself . To act only on his now released desire . To live for power and all that came with it .
Mika understood himself best at times and he was 100% sure of something . His brother and himself were similar in a sort of way .
If Loannis had not killed their mother , Mika would have probably agreed to his ways . But that was only one possibility . They would have probably had a falling out eventually with how deeply Loannis despised him .
