Capítulo 177: I'm Not Running

Derek leaned back against the couch, running his fingers through his hair as he looked over at Cora, who sat cross-legged on the floor, flipping through a magazine after they had finished dinner.

"Has Liam picked up?" Cora asked since she knew Derek had tried calling Liam for some time now.

"No. And I'm getting worried. I don't think I should've told him what we thought," Derek said with a sigh, worry lines etching over his face.

"If he doesn't return your calls this night then, we'll go over there first thing in the morning," she said and Derek nodded.

"I guess that's what we should do," He said and they both slipped into thoughts of their own.

The silence between them was interrupted by the sharp ring of Derek's phone. He frowned and grabbed it from the coffee table, noticing the unfamiliar number.

"Who might this be?" he mused aloud and Cora frowned.

"What?" she asked curiously and he shrugged.
