"Dan?" she called out, her voice laced with surprise and a hint of trepidation. "What are you doing here?" she asked as she walked up to him.
After ending things with him at his house, she hadn't called or seen him, so it was surprising to find him at her doorstep now.
What if she didn't return? Would he have remained outside waiting for her? She mused as she stopped in front of him.
Seeing Elena's face up close again, her golden blonde hair and her gray eyes scanning him, Dan couldn't help but light up with a boyish grin. "Hey, Lena. It's been a while since I saw you or even heard from you," he said genuinely feeling happy and Elena raised a brow.
