Capítulo 37: For Fun

Phil couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he disconnected the call with Liam. He knew his cousin all too well, and he could almost see the frustrated smile on Liam's face as he realized the call had ended abruptly.

He had ended the call on purpose, knowing that Liam had been about to encourage him to hook up with a girl but Phil wasn't ready to hear it.

Thinking about it, Phil's mind wandered off to his own past, to a memory that still felt like yesterday.

The pain of losing his fiancee was still fresh, and the thought of moving on from her terrified him. It had been two years since the accident, but the grief still lingered.

He could still remember her smile, her laugh, and the way she made him feel. Even her last words to him.... "I love you and I hope you live well."

How could he move on from such love? The thought of him finding someone new, and falling in love again, was daunting. What if he lost her too after they fell in love?
