Capítulo 129: 'will never leave

After the event of Draven's revelation, Madeline had taken the whole day apart from him. Now, added with Sebastian's words, the longing of being with him, seeing him, pulled her towards the hallway leading to his room—the room that would now belong to them.

How is he?, she thought as her feet dragged slowly there. All through the day, she had been with her father, with Josiah, and sometimes with Eloide, keeping her mind off the ache. When they had asked for supper and dinner, she had avoided going to the dining hall, all for the fear of meeting Draven there.

As she approached the corridor to reach the room, she came across two figures entangled so closely, their faces barely visible but one could tell they were lovers.

Had there been a guest? Madeline wondered, Why can't they be intimate in private?
