Inside the deceased Hunter's house, Seung sat on the tiled floor of the living room, which gleamed under the light of a single LED overhead. The widow sat a few inches away, her legs wrapped beneath her. Seung's eyes scanned the room: framed pictures of the man, his wife, and a fourteen-year-old girl adorned the walls. Apart from a small bookshelf and a large brown teddy bear, the room was sparsely furnished.
The woman's soft, slightly punctuated voice drew his attention. "I remember you were ten years old when our house was right beside yours. Aigoo… I can't believe that innocent kid is the young man sitting in front of me now. Do you remember a Christmas day when my family took a picture with yours?"
Seung avoided her gaze for a moment, then nodded with a slight smile. "No, ma'am."
She pointed behind him, and Seung turned to see another picture frame on the wall. He stood up and approached it, smiling as he recognized the faces.
I am sorry if you think this chapter slows down the plot, it's just for Seung's character development.
