Ch. 50 - The Great Pretendee's battle with Tamatoa!
"Now, we need to be quiet or else we would attract the attention of some....monsters." Maui reminded them.
"Wow thanks for the warning, Mr. Obvious." Leo rolled his eyes.
"....Anyways, stick close to me so we'll get to Tamatoa safely." Maui seemed to be unimpressed by Leo's reply and turned around to walk away.
Meanwhile, Moana was still hooked and mesmerized by the surroundings, she couldn't help but stare at every plant, creature, and huge monsters that were roaming the realm.
"I can't believe I'm in such a dangerous place." Moana muttered to herself which was heard by Leo who then replied.
"Trust me dear, the sea is more dangerous than this realm."
"Really?" Moana raised her eyebrows and seems to doubt Leo's words.
"Yup." Leo confirmed.
"Are you guys done talking? Cause we already arrived." As soon as Maui said those words, Leo and Moana looked up at the same time.
"That's....a cave." Moana pointed out.
"Yes it is and it's where he lives." Maui made a menacing smile as he climbed a set of rocks, followed by Moana and Leo like chics following their mother chicken.
"There it is." Maui pointed down at the mountain of gold.
"Woah." While Moana was once again mesmerized by the sight, Leo's eyes turned into twinkling jewelries as his face suddenly bore a grin.
'Genesis, please tell me I have something to keep those things for myself.'

Hearing it, Leo looked at his inventory and mentally asked for the description of Ring of Hades.
[Item: Ring of Hades
- The Ring of Hades forged by Hephaestus using the soul of thousands of damned. Contains several active and passive effects.
Passive effects:
• Aura of the dead: Wearing the ring, your aura will turn into that of an undead, making you scarier, your aura makes everyone feel heavy and unfavourable by those who reside in the light.
• Last Man Standing - For every corpse around 50m radius from you that you killed, your overall strength permanently increases by 0.005%. The effect will temporarily disappear once you remove the ring.
Active effects:
• Storage: As Hades doesn't want to lose his things, he made this function on the ring. It is what it says. Cannot store living beings.
• Final Straw - By expelling all of the stored souls inside, the bearer's strength will increase 10x of the bearer's current strength. Can stack with the passive Dead Man Standing. The ring will be destroyed in return.]
"This is some good shit!" Leo wasted no time in taking out the ring and wearing it.
As soon as he wore it, Moana and Maui who were busy generating plans, suddenly shivered at the same time and felt as if death was looking down on them.
For Maui, he felt like he was in the presence of a god, so he quickly looked around and saw no one but him, Moana and Leo.
'Could it be him? But that's impossible! He's just a Demi-God like me!' Deciding to take this matter later after he gets his magical hook, he went back to explaining the plan to Moana.
"You're shiny! Remember this, Tamatoa likes shiny things, so wear something shiny and attract his attention."
"And you?"
"Me? Of course, I'll steal my Magical hook and beat the giant crab to pulp, just like how I did thousands of years ago." Maui confidently answered.
"I don't think this is a good idea." Moana was in hesitation.
"What? But my pla-" Just as Maui wanted to press his plan further, he was interrupted by none other than Leo.
"I'll do it, Maui. How do you even call yourself a hero of all when you let a woman do the work." Leo flashed a disgusted face at Maui who just sighed in defeat.
"Fine. So, here's the plan, wear something shiny and-." Maui then repeated the plan to Leo, only to be interrupted once again when Leo jumped and answered while in mid-air.
"I'm sorry but that's not the plan I want." With a grin, Leo landed on the mountains of jewelry and shiny golds, utilizing his ring to take as many shiny objects as he could.
"What the? Who jumped in my-." As soon as Leo landed, Tamatoa the giant crab was quick to notice it and tried to stand up, only to feel as if his weight was slowly decreasing.
"What the? Am I losing weight? Must be the giant cockroach I ate earlier." Tamatoa, oblivious to the treasures on his back where the middle is slowly sinking as if a blackhole has appeared inside.
Right as Tamatoa finally started to notice it, it was already too late as half of his treasures are already gone, slightly revealing his dirty shell that shouts 'I'm not as shiny as the owner is obsessed with!'
"What the?! Hey!" Tamatoa became angry when he noticed someone laying down on his shell where his treasures seemed to be being absorbed into his hands.
"You! Who are you!? What are you doing in my back!" Tamatoa then tries to use his claws to reach Leo on his back, only to fail due to his large body and short arms, giving Leo more time to take all his shiny things away from him.
"What else do you think I'm doing! I'm robbing you!" While Leo was answering, he failed to notice that he accidentally put Maui's magical hook inside his ring.
Outside, Maui was having a panic attack when he saw how Leo was absorbing the shiny objects as if he was eating them, what's even worse is that he can't find his magical hook anymore.
It was just on the top of Tamatoa's shell earlier and now it's gone!
'That Leo! He must've taken it without knowing it was my hook!' Maui gritted his teeth and could only try his luck and call out to Leo.
"Leo! Leo!" Although Maui was shouting, at the same time he was also whispering in a very low volume.
"What are you doing!? What about the plan?" Moana saw his actions and thought the demi-god had lost his mind.
"There is no plan! The moment that guy jumped there the plan out of the window!" Maui lashed out as he rubbed his forehead.
"Look, I just need my hook back! That's what matters!" He continued.
"What about Leo? He's facing that monster alone just for your hook! What even are you!?" Moana shouted back.
"I'm Maui! The demi-god of the-."
"Magical Hooks? Demi-god of the magical Hooks? Hero to all hooks?" Moana interrupted with an insult.
"That's not...." Maui tried to retort but couldn't find the right words.
"That's what I thought, Leo is more of a man than you are." Moana scoffed and turned around, which made Maui freeze.
"I'm...."

"Fuck you crab!" Leo yelled as he was thrown out of Tamatoa's shell and landed on the cold hard ground.
"Leo!" Suddenly, his sharp ears heard his name being called.
"Huh?" Looking to his side, Leo saw Maui who bore a serious look.
"Step aside Leo!" Maui yelled for the last time and much to Leo and Moana's shock, Maui took a big leap and slowly fell towards Tamatoa's face, exactly right on his left eye.
"Huh?" Tamatoa could only utter a confused sound before Maui delivered a very heavy punch towards his left eye.
*Puchi!*
"Gaaaggghh! My eye! You actually punched my eye, you stupid demi-god!" Tamatoa growled and quickly used one of his legs to kick Maui mid-air.
"Oof!" Thrown aside, Maui coincidentally landed beside Leo.
"Well well well, look who it is. It turns out to be the Demi-god, you're just in time as I just finished the song I've been preparing for you." Tamatoa grinned as he tapped his claws against each other.
"M-my h-." Before Maui could deliver his message to Leo, he was dragged by Tamatoa.
"What?" Leo bore a confused face. What was Maui supposed to say in such an important and dangerous situation.
"Well, Tamatoa hasn't always been this glam~
~I was a drab little crab once
Now I know I can be happy as a clam
Because I'm beautiful, baby~"
As Tamatoa started singing, he kept dragging and playing with Maui's body like a ragdoll as if he was some kind of toy.
"Did your granny say listen to your heart~
~Be who you are on the inside
I need three words to tear her argument apart~
Your granny lied
~I'd rather be
Shiny!~"
Right as he threw Maui up in the air, Tamatoa seemed to be immersed with his song that he started dancing and rotating his huge body.
"Leo!" While mid-air, Maui yelled Leo's name.
"What!? You've been calling me since earlier!"
"My hook!" Finally, Maui managed to say what he's been wanting to say.
"Hook?" Leo was confused at first when he suddenly realized something and looked at his ring.
"There it is!" Leo mentally slapped his forehead before taking out the magical hook.
"Yes!" Maui raised his hand in victory as he yelled before being caught between Tamatoa's pincers.
*Fwooosh!*
Without delay, Leo threw the magical hook towards Maui who kept his hand raised to catch the hook.
"Like a treasure from a sunken pirate wreck
Scrub the deck and make it look
Shiny
I will sparkle like a wealthy wom- what!?"
Tamatoa, who was busy in his song, saw the magical hook flying towards Maui's hands.
"Nooo!" He yelled and tried to intercept the hook, only to fail and land on Maui's palm.
Meanwhile, Leo was also awaiting Genesis's announcement.
"No need to tell me Genesis, just claim it!" As soon as he said those words, a bunch of pointy Vibranium necklace suddenly appeared on his neck.
At the same time as Maui caught his magical hook, the both of them grinned and said these words in their minds.
'Finally! It's my time to shine!'
