I sat by Wei, I did not care for him but he's blood. Opal walked in and said all panicky "Wei, are you ok" she looked at the bloody mess and almost threw up.
She looked at all the extra people and asked her mother "who are these people" and suyin replied while pointing at each one of us "Jojo beifong your cousin, Avatar korra, Mako, bolin, lin beifong your aunt, and Asami"
She gave a double Glace at me when she saw I was riddled with scars and had one bad eye, or at least that's why I thought she gave me a double glance.
If I remember right, kuvira is 18 or 19 years old right now. Which is just my age range. Maybe she could go for a different beifong and not that hippe loser, baatar Jr.
Kurvira is surprisingly young, I always thought she was in her early thirties maybe mid twenties. I searched it up once when I was re-watching legend of korra and she was 21 in the events of season four.
I sat up from the chair I was sitting in then walked away. I went through the gardens, and the ponds. Then I found kuvira. Just leaning against the wall, she was tilting her head back and forth observing the area.
She spotted me staring at her and said "Hey, come over here" I walked on over to her and she said "who are you? I don't recognize you, and why were you staring at me"
"I'm jojo beifong, I'm Suyin's nephew, and you caught my eye pretty thing" I said, kuvira let out a little blush and smile then went back to her normal serious face and said "alright get outta here, I don't need a distraction while I'm working"
She waved me off, skill check failed, maybe. I walked away, but I noticed out if the corner of my eye kuvira had a slight smirk on her face. I guess I am a rizzler. Before I was out of talking distance I said "Suyin was giving me a tour but it was cut short, maybe you could give me a tour later"
Kuvira was still smiling then said "sure, meet me here 7 pm" then I replied with a nod.
The reson baatar Jr got so far is because kuvira was never loved. It will also be the reason I get far ish, if I'm not careful then I'm gonna have esna send assains after me and kuvira.
We could both tell that this was practically a date. I'm not officially dating esna, So we're in the clear. I'm not a cheater, and if I ever get caught I could plead. I have brain damage. Which I'm pretty sure I do.
-3rd person pov-
Jojo went on about the rest of the day occasionally stopping by to check on Wei who he felt somewhat bad about. Most people had left Wei's side and went back to their regular activities.
Huan the emo, was making those shitty sculptures. Jojo passed by and asked "what is that supposed to represent" and the emo replied "the drawing of a new age, obviously"
Opal was sitting on a bench near a series of man made pools of water. She was reading a book when Jojo walked over and said "so you are the new airbender, my cousin"
"Yes, it's so nice to meet you, I knew my aunt lin existed but I never knew she had a son. But oh well, give me a hug" opal said and reached for a hug, jojo was not rude enough to deny her hug.
Then he said apologetically, but jojo was only a little apologetic "opal, you seem like an innocent soul, I hope you stay that way, I am not I've killed hundreds directly and thousands indirectly, I'm a bad person, I led the rebels in the south and I armed them."
"OH, don't feel bad, you seem nice, just because you invented it doesn't mean you killed those people, the person who uses the sword is the one who killed not the maker of the blade" opal said which caused jojo to have some flashbacks to when he asked the question to himself 'is the sword maker the killer or the warrior who used the blade'
Jojo left the area and asked the same question in his head 'is the sword maker the killer or the warrior who used the blade'
-Jojo pov-
I've begun to realize I most definitelyhave brain damage. Also does toph know I exist? She left to the swamp 20 years ago and I'm 18. She was watching through the spirit Vines so she could get a sense of where her family was and if they were in major danger.
Mmm, I will find out that question sooner or later. It was dusk, I had already explored the entire estate so I didn't need a tour. I went into the main building in the beifong estate for dinner.
I walked to the dining hall and found I was the first one there. I sat down and waited and after a few minutes of roling my eyes most of the others came in. I heard the metal clang and creak as it closed and encompassed the entirety of Zuofu.
A man who was tatted beyond belief came in with a few carts, presumably full of food but the things on the cart were covered by metal bowls.
The tatted man started speaking "tonight for your dining pleasure, I present a seared wild kyoshi elephant koi, paired with a ginger infused pea tentldril and hibiscus root salad"
The tatted man walked out of the room after giving us our meals, which like modern art in my original world. It's not good, it might taste good for a second but the portions are so small. The dish is over complicated.
I still ate it, and enjoyed it for the seconds it took me to finish it. The serving size was just too small. Baatar, Suyins husband was late and came in the dining hall though the over sized door.
He said to Su "sorry I'm late dear, I was finishing some redesigns of the rail systems." Baatar Senior sat down, and so did baatar Jr who I just noticed was with him.
Lin left some rude remarks "5 kids, what a nightmare" guess she thought her kids were just like me. Suyin said "No, no my children are a blessing"
"Mine isn't" lin said while pointing at me. I froze then went back to resting she continued her berated on me "first he blows himself up, goes in a coma, then the same day he wakes up he over works himself and goes back into a coma, then he goes to the Southern water tribe for a vacation, but instead of relaxing he starts a godamm revolution"
"I didn't start the revolution, it was gonna happen with or without me, also you forgot the reason I overworked myself and lost almost all of my blood is because I beat the shit out if Amon, the blood bender who almost took the avatars bending" I replied offended that she forgot all of my 'good' deeds. Suyin said "seems kinda like how mom talked about you"
Lin glared at Suyin then left the room without touching her food. Bolin tried to lift the mood "I have to admit I was pretty skeptical when he said pea tendril, but this is delicious"
Opal who sat next to bolin replied while laughing "I know, right, I don't think I've ever had a bad meal in my life" " You know what's a bad meal, drinking steak through a straw" I said sassily.
Suyin said "just like you're mother, never letting go of the past". Suyin was so rude and never git punished for her insults. What was i gonna do my main bending technique is lethal. I couldn't beat the shit outta her, yet. I will lay on wait until I can beat the shit out of her.
I put on the beifong scowl for the rest of dinner. I kept forgetting that I was jojo beifong, I'm not the same person I was in the past life. I had different genes, mannerisms, and I would do things sub-consciously that a beifong would do.
Like put my arms together and put on an angry face, Every beifong does that. I went outside and to the spot kuvira said to meet her at.
It was a bit early, or so I think. I don't have a watch nor did I check a clock. After a few minutes of sitting around kuvira came around the corner. She said "get up, let's start the 'tour' "
She waved for me to sit up, I sat up and followed her around and listened to her talk about the estate "this is the secondary courtyard, those are the hanging gardens"
She pointed the places out with her finger as she spoke, we came to a little pavilion that was raised up a few feet. "This place, you can see three quarters of the entire estate from this place" kivira said, she definitely had some nostalgic memories here.
Kuvira ended the your in the main building, more specifically her room. This confused me, 'such an odd place to end it' I thought.
She said "you wanna finish the tour in my bedroom". it seems I am too innocent, I now realize what she meant or to brain damaged. Probaly the ladder.
(I'll let you guess what happens, because this ain't an R-18 fanfic and it never will be, romance at most)
I walked out of kuvira's room, it was probably midnight or so. I went to my 'room' it was more like a house. There were multiple rooms, two bedrooms. One was lin's and one was mine. Lin was still awake, she read some newspaper. She didn't ask me where I was, maybe she used seismic sense to know where I was. That's just a violation of my privacy.
I may have been covered in scars and have one bad eye but I'm still a charismatic little prick. I went to my bed and fell asleep.
I woke up bright and early like usual, I got ready then headed to the dining hall for breakfast. I took a seat, only Suyin and korra were in the dining hall.
"So, jojo, you are an earthbender correct" Suyin said awkwardly because of the big divide between us. I replied with that beifong attitude "yes, and a lava bender, and a metal bender, what of it, you got a bone to pick" how did she not know this
Korra interrupted "Stop fighting, and whats with that attitude jojo" and I replied to korra "we weren't fighting" she did her avatar duties and broke up a conflict. We we're most definitely fighting.
"It was gonna lead to that" korra said, we stopped bickering when most of the others showed up. Suyin was still dogging on lin even when lin wasnt here. korra asked "can you teach me metal bending" "at least lin didn't teach you, she would be a horrible teacher" suyin replied, speaking of lin where was she?
Suyin was about to get a sucker punch from my stand. Maybe not. I would just bug with her by redirecting light straight into her eyes, at all times a day. Just slight enough to annoy.
I started and I could see her move her head a little. she tried to block the sunlight with her hand but I just moved it to go right back into her eye. I was a proefficient metal bender but I went with suyin, bolin, and korra to learn metal bending.
I mean they would learn it I would come for fun. If I remember right, lin is having some drug trip or something that causes her to realize what's causing her stress. The four of us walked over some of the raised pavillion and to a large flat area full of odd looking rocks.
Suyin said while point to the odd looking rock "these rocks have a unique property that makes them easier to bend" she demonstrated a little and made a few different shapes like a diamond, star, and a lump.
She threw the peaice of metal at korra who caught it, suyin said "try it" korra nodded then moved her free hand over the lump of odd looking metal that was in her other hand.
She tried for a minute or so, then the rude suyin said "oh right, how about you try bolin and, jojo" she threw two lumps of the same odd looking metal at the two of us. I was blind in one eye and so I fumbled it. I was practically juggling it. I metal bended it to Mt hand once I touched it.
Suyin said something under her breath, I could only make out clown.
I could already metal bend so I instantly morphed it into a cacophony of shapes. Korra was still trying and then suyin said "try and focus on the pieces of earth in the metal"
The lump if metal in korra's hand was shaking a little but then she finally got it. Korra said excitedly "can't believe it, I'm metal bending"
Bolin was a bit depressed about this because he couldn't get it he said depressingly "guess you're one in a hundred" . In the show he never unlocked metal bending. I closed my eyes for a moment then I heard bolin scream "I DID IT, I DID IT, I metalbended"
He couldn't metal bend in the show. This confused me so I looked at him, with confusion in my face. Suyin Said while giving a golf clap "you're one in a hundred, bolin"
Suyin said half heartedly "to the two of them, great job you two, it's good to know that I thought two wonderful people how to metal bend" I still don't like her.
I wonder how lin's drug trip is going? I went back to the 'room' and found lin dripping in sweat. I don't thing her drug trip went well. I asked "are you ok?" And she replied sweat dripping off her, her words also slurred a little "yeahhh, yeah, I'm gooooodddd"
She got up from the chair she was sitting in then went some where, maybe to go back to her drug trip or whatever. I sat down, not in the chair lin was just sitting because it was dripping from her sweat.
She was not ok. I wish this world had popcorn, so I could watch the soon to be showdown between Lin and Su with a wonderful salty snack.
