Title: Spar and God Sleep
…
As Thena flew after Leucadius, she caught up to him swiftly. With a graceful descent, she landed in front of him, her expression determined. Leucadius regarded her with a curious tilt of his head, acknowledging her presence with a nod.
"Thena," he greeted, his voice tinged with a hint of amusement. "I didn't expect to see you here so soon after our court session."
Thena smiled faintly, her eyes gleaming with a mixture of anticipation and readiness. "I couldn't resist the opportunity for a friendly spar," she replied, her tone inviting yet confident. "Although you appear weakened, you're still someone who fought an Elder God and escaped."
Leucadius chuckled softly, a glint of excitement dancing in his eyes. "Very well, then. Let's see if you can keep up with me," he challenged, adopting a relaxed stance, his Chair scattered and covering his body like armor.
"Precaution." He said to which she nodded unconcerned. Without further ado, Thena unleashed a burst of cosmic energy, surrounding herself in a radiant aura of light. Leucadius observed her movements carefully, his senses heightened, anticipating her next move.
With a swift motion, Thena launched herself forward, closing the distance between them in an instant. Leucadius reacted swiftly, evading her initial strike with a graceful sidestep before he countered with a punch, one infused with cosmic energy as he aimed for Thena's defenses.
Thena, already expecting this, deftly deflected Leucadius's attacks, her movements fluid and precise. With a flick of her wrist, she unleashed a wave of telekinetic force, sending Leucadius staggering backward.
Undeterred, Leucadius halted his propulsion mid-air, his expression unchanged as he pressed the attack. He summoned his own cosmic energy to form a rotating ball channeling it into a powerful blast that surged toward Thena with incredible force.
{Sir! Using Cosmic Energy will further increase your injury levels.}
"Come now ASPECT, I'm pretty sure I have all the time to survive in this world. After, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." Leucadius said with a smile as he watched the spinning ball hurtle towards Thena.
Thena responded in kind, conjuring a shimmering barrier of energy to deflect Leucadius's assault.
The clash of energies illuminated the field they were in causing Thena to squint her eyes due to the blinding light. That was all Leucadius needed as he teleported behind her and placed his hands on her neck.
"And you're dead."
"You…you use Teleportation that easily? I thought you were weakened?" Thena asked in shock. No Eternal liked to use their Teleportation ability since it drains a lot of their cosmic energy.
For Leucadius to do it despite being injured and lacking in Energy…
"Yeah, I am. But who said teleportation needs to be done with cosmic energy?" Leucadius said and put his hand down. His already white skin turned paler as he stumbled back and almost fell to his butt if not for his armor swiftly dismantling and forming a chair for him to sit down.
"As Eternals, you all have an assortment of abilities waiting to be used, however you only focus on what you can use to win. This leads to you all forgetting something important." Leucadius said with a tired expression.
"What?"
"Training." He said as his chair began floating away.
"Training? What's that?"
"My thoughts exactly." he said while rolling his eyes. He wasn't surprised though, even Gaea was surprised when she saw him repeatedly performing a series of exercises over and over again.
"It's an art that helps any living being develop a level of control on both their physical body, mind and energy." He replied and turned back to Thena.
"Even being weakened, I could kill you…why do you think that is?"
"You're stronger?"
"Nope. Currently I have not an iota of energy running through me. That ball of Cosmic Energy was actually energy stored in my suit. A back up if you will." Leucadius said.
"Hmm, although I don't dislike this, I may not be able to entertain you any longer. Come by Phastos lab in a few days. Perhaps I'll have something for you by then." Saying that, a portal opened behind him before sucking him away before Thena could react.
…
XXXX Time Later.
Leucadius POV.
"Hey Phastos." I said as I portaled into Phastos secret lab scattering a bunch of things he kept arranged due to the momentum of the portal.
"You bastard! How many time have I told you not to portal in here!?" Phastos screamed as he sent several drone like insects to rearrange everything that scattered due to my arrival.
"Dunno, never really cared to listen with you shouting at the top of your lungs." I said while floating around the lab with no care to his annoyance.
"What brings you here this time."
"I need your help in building something."
"You're much more intelligent than I am, why would you need my help?" He asked suspiciously as he put finishing touches on the things he was rearranging.
"Simply because I can create them without a certain level of Cosmic Energy to power them." I replied and tapped a button on the arm rest of my chair causing a holographic blueprint projection of a human puppet to appear with all the schematic drawings of the device I wanted Phastos to help me build.
"I've been thinking about ways to optimize the utilization of cosmic energy. With this device, we could enhance the efficiency of our energy conversion processes, potentially revolutionizing our capabilities."
Phastos studied the holographic display intently, his analytical mind already dissecting the intricate design. "It's ambitious," he admitted, "but I like where you're going with this. We'd need to consider factors like energy conversion rates, quantum flux stability, and potential feedback loops."
Leucadius nodded in agreement, impressed by Phastos' grasp of the technical challenges this entailed. "Exactly. That's why I need your expertise to help refine the design and ensure its viability."
Phastos smiled, energized by the prospect of tackling such a complex engineering challenge. "I'm in," he declared. "But it's going to require extensive simulations and testing to fine-tune the parameters and identify any potential pitfalls."
Leucadius nodded, a determined gleam in his eyes. "We'll need access to the most advanced computational resources available to us," he said before chuckling. "Which is something I have right here."
Phastos nodded in understanding, already formulating a plan of action. "I'll start gathering the necessary data and running simulations immediately," he said. "We'll need to build prototypes and conduct experiments to validate our hypotheses."
Leucadius grinned,"That won't be necessary."
"Huh?"
"This blueprint has already been fine-tuned by yours truly. It has no flaws. I just need you to build one. It's a present for a friend. You can do whatever you want later on." Leucadius said before a Portal opened behind him. "I've already sent it to you so make haste in it's production."
"Hey! You basta-"
Before he finished however, Leucadius was already gone while scattering everything Phastos had already rearranged causing him to curse wildly.
"Perhaps I should develop something that'll prevent Spatial movements into this place?" Phastos thought but shook his head. He knew the capability of the chair Leucadius sat on.
Others might think it was just a means of transportation for the young eternal, but he had had the privilege of being shown it capabilities. He didn't know if Leucadius trusted him that much or just didn't think he could copy it, leading to him flaunting it to him.
From the fact that the Motherbox as he called it could Portal him from an Elder God dimension to theirs was already a testament of it's might. With enough data, it could probably portal him anywhere in the universe with minimal cost at that.
"Whatever, I'll just have to develop with the little I have." He said and turned to analyse the new project Leucadius left him.
…
Arriving at the Palace like house prepared for me to stay at in Olimpia, the Motherbox that was also home to ASPECT dismantled but not before laying me down on a bed and returning to its cubic form.
"Aspect, keep an eye on Phastos for me. As soon as the puppet takes shape let me know immediately."
{Understood. But I might ask, why didn't you create it by yourself?}
"No reason in particular. I personally can't be bothered to create something I won't be using so there's that…Plus, Thena seems promising in combat. It would be a waste for her not to develop that ability."
{But you could always introduce your Mental Technique to her and keep not at that."}
"Hmm. I could, but it won't work as it works on me. Everything I create an fight against in my Mind-scape are a part of me. My progress there affects my real body, that is because I am the creator. My Will, Spirit, Soul and Body are interconnected."
{There's nothing to prove that Eternals aren't capable of a similar fear.}
"Indeed, but I'm not obligated to help them in any way. As they are now, they're already a pantheon standing in for the Greek Gods…I do plan on being a God myself…I wouldn't want rivals,"
{Understood.}
"Also, to create that Puppet, a lot of resources are needed. Phastos, like other Eternal had the ability of Molecular Manipulation, in as much as he knows it's atomic structure, he can create them. I lack the required amount of Cosmic Energy for that."
{That is true. There's also a possibility of your bad habit showing.}
"What!? Aspect! How dare you say that I have a bad habit?"
{Sir, in this entire universe, I alone spend all his time with you.}
"So..?"
{...}
"Fine, but wouldn't you like to have a little brother in time? Imagine a little you serving as the Eternals training partner."
{Sir…}
"Hai. Hai. I understand. It'll be a manual puppet." I said and closed my eyes and went into what I like to term - God Sleep -
I can't possibly be awake while my body recovers. I'd probably die of boredom and be forced to exert myself leading to an increased time spent on recovery.
Seven Years, Huh? It'd be over in a blink of an eye. That much I'm sure of as an Immortal existence.
As for what I'll be doing in the meantime…Well, I do have an entire world waiting for reconstruction within my Mind.
I can already imagine casting a Planet wide Illusion, capturing every living being within my Mind…or Someone trying to read my mind only to find himself in a while new World where I am God.
Heh. We'll see. First, let's see if I can repair the damages I've caused with my Usual spars.
