Capítulo 18: He is gone
Aiden
The moment I wake up in the clinic, I know he is gone. I can't feel him next to me.
Did he fucking punched me?
Why did he leave? My heart aches. I know he has been keeping something from me but I didn't want to pressure him into talking when he didn't want to. Fuck he is gone.
When I watched him fight the Hunters I was so stunned that even when I could move, I just stood there and watch him kill them. The way he was moving like someone who has done that a thousand times. The worst part was that he was smiling and laughing while doing it like he enjoyed it. He had this maniac look on him.
When he got closer to me, I got a whiff of him. I got confused cause he felt like an older Vampire. Wolves, hunters and witches and even vampires can tell how powerful and old a vampire is by the aura radiating from them.
What I felt from Ben caught me off guard. Drinking from from the source must have activated something.
I pace in my living room waiting for Mike and Bannard to arrive. When they finally arrive, they look nervous like I'm going to snap at them. I know it's not their fault. Ben can be convincing.
"I'm sorry Aiden. We didn't know he was going to leave we..." Mike explains but I stop him with my hand.
"It's fine, I'm not angry at you. I'm furious at him for being so stupid." Why would he fucking leave?
"Something is wrong with him. I felt his aura yesterday." Bannard states frowning . Bannard has always been the quiet and observant one.
"Yeah I felt it too. It's strong and old. I don't know how this is possible." I don't get it. Ben turned a week ago.
"So he really is the one that killed those hunters. We weren't sure cause we thought he would be too weak to fight them. Those were grade 4 hunters there. When we saw the mess and their wounds, we knew it wasn't you." Mike says thoughtfully
Hunters have grades, the most powerful one is grade 1 and the least powerful and last is grade 7. Hunters are humans but they are stronger than regular humans. They take intense training and use magic weapons with from a witch. They have these weird rituals that make they stronger.
"And how did you get knocked out by a bunch of grade 4 hunters? you are way stronger than them." Mike asks
"I was distracted." I say a little embarrassed. Mike smirks at me with a knowing look. "And they aren't the one's that knocked me out."
Bannard and Mike eye's widen at that. Mike burst out laughing.
"I'm sorry, you mean Ben did that? Ooh God I knew I liked him. Are you embarrassed Aiden?" Mike teases
"Fuck off." I flip him off. " I need to find him soon. He is still young. I don't want him killing people."
"We sent some guys to find him. No luck. They say he is not in his apartment or Liam's place. They are still looking. " Bannard states.
"Call them off. I will find him myself. I'm going to be gone for a couple of days. Take care of things while I'm gone. I don't know if the hunters are coming back or not so be careful."
"You will find him." Bannard pats me in the back.
"Tell Ben I love him for the punch." I groan and Mike laughs as they head for the door.
After I have packed a couple of things and informed the Alpha , I climb into my car and head to town.
The minute I arrive in town, I know he is not here. I would've sensed which way he is.
I go to his old apartment. When I arrive there, his scent still lingers in the air. He smells like a warm blanket that you just want to wrap around you. His scent is unique and I want to inhale it everyday.
I look around in the apartment but there's nothing indicating where he is.
I go to Liams's apartment. I knock at the door 4 times before a flushed looking Liam opens it, he is a bit breathless and he also seeks of sex.
"Where's Ben?" I ask not even greeting
"Excuse me? He was with you." He narrows his eyes at me. "What did you do him? Aiden. Where the fuck is Ben?" He asks angrily
"Here's my number. If he calls tell me." I turn around to leave.
"If I dont get him on the phone I'm gonna have you arrested." He states firmly while I go to my car.
I book a shitty motel, the carpet has questionable stains on it. I'm exhausted. I order some food and try to call Ben again but his phone is switched off.
What if Damian got to him? That fucking coward is still on the run. I have contacted neighboring packs to watch out for him.
I don't know when I fell asleep but I find myself in the forest again. When I look around I spot Ben standing there looking at me with wide eyes. When I make a move towards him, he snaps out of it and runs the opposite way. I transform into a wolf and run after him.
I catch him in record time slamming him hard and we fall down. I pin him on the ground as he struggles. I turn back into my human form.
"Where are you Ben? Tell me." He stops struggling then and looks me in the eye. He sniffs
"No I can't, you are going to stop me if I do." He says looking sad and innocent.
"Baby whats going on? Tell me, I will help you." I say softly.
"No! you will hate me for the things I've done. If you knew what I've done in the past, you wouldn't be looking at me with that expression on your face. I hate myself and you will soon hate me too. I need answers and I will find them." I frown at him. What is he talking about?
"Baby what answers?"
"My past life, Seth. He is evil Aiden. I am evil. He is me and I am him. I can't be him. He is..God the things I've done." He crys.
He is confusing me even more now. I know this is not going anywhere.
"Where are you?"
"I can't tell you. I'm sorry." He says quietly.
I can't help myself from leaning down and kissing him. He deepens the kiss. Suddenly images flash in my mind. I pull away gasping. I know where he is.
"Don't do anything, I will find you and we will solve things together." I say to him pulling away. He stands up and avoids looking me in the eye.
"I love you." I say to him. His gaze snaps up to mine.
My heart breaks when he hesitates and doesn't say it back.
I turn around and leave him standing there.
Can't he see that he is hurting me?
When I wake up it's already morning. I rush packing my stuff. I hit the road. I pray to find him still in that motel I saw in my mind.
I drive for about 3 hours until I find myself in another shitty looking motel. I look around but I can tell by the scent that he is already gone. By the smell he left 2 hours ago. I will find him. I have to.
I call Sylivia.
"I need your help." I say immediately after she picks up.
"Okay? What's up?"
I give her the adress and tell her to meet me in an hour. I realize that I need help with this.
After she arrives, she insists I come to her house which is not far from here. I'm surprised do find out that her house is homely. It has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and 2 extra rooms.
She brings me to the basement where there are all kinds of portions and scarry stuff that makes my body shiver.
"Do you know anything about past lives or Seth?" I ask not sure what I'm asking exactly.
"Past lives? Ummh you mean something like reincarnation?" I nod. "I don't know. I've come across a book about it but nothing much. You've got to give me something about here. "
I tell her the whole story about Damian turning Ben and the Aura's I've felt from them. How I got here. And what Ben said to me. I basically tell her everything.
"Damian, why is that name so familiar?" Sylivia pounders then her eyes widen. " Daminios and Seth I knew those names were familiar. They were the vampire queen's enforcers. They died though 1000 years ago. This story was what my mother used to tell me when I was a teenager. You see, the Vampire queen was well known for being evil and ruthless. She was one of the most powerful vampires at that time. The problem was that she was greedy. She killed everything in her wake. She would send Daminios and Seth to kill others. Seth was the Seducer, generals, war lords, kings fell on their knees for him. He seduced them and killed them. Daminios was the fighter, he killed you without hesitation. They were both evil. The vampire Queen had many children as she called them but her favorites were her enforcers. It was a really interesting story really." Sylivia says with a glint in her eyes.
