Dear Adall,
If you're reading this letter, it means you didn't wake up before my final hour passed.
What a scoundrel you are! You could have kept me company one last time if you had gotten up on time.
Anyway, I'm writing you this letter because there are still many things I need to talk to you about before we part ways for good, starting with my death.
I'm sure Fercyn will take it upon himself to replace me at your bedside to explain the causes of my death, but he'll chicken out at the last minute.
After all, behind his unwavering seriousness, he is one of the few people left in this world with a pure soul. What irony that he was born into the race of dark elves...
You have nothing to blame yourself for regarding my death.
Besides, it was decided long before your birth by the higher beings whose footsteps you now follow.
One day, I discovered that what I truly loved doing in life was reading novels, discovering new works, imagining new concepts to make a character I loved stronger, and, why not, creating my own character in a work and evolving them in my imagination. I would sometimes spend hours doing this without realizing it, with a smile on my face.
Unfortunately, as time passes, we grow older, and with that comes responsibilities. Especially being African, where society always frowns upon someone who, at a certain age, still maintains a passion they developed since adolescence. I can still hear them saying to me: "It's time for you to grow up, Alban."
So, I recently found myself having to choose between my passion for reading and my ever-burgeoning imagination, and my need to create a monthly income, even if it meant having to abandon my passion.
I ultimately decided to combine the two by creating my own original work: "The War of the Primals". It's still in its early stages, and I promise to do my best not to disappoint you.
So, even if it's a bit selfish of me, I would really appreciate it if you could help me get it known. A comment to let me know if you enjoy it would help me a lot, you have no idea.
As improving is also at the heart of my goals, I would also be delighted to read your constructive criticism.
Thank you very much, dear reader.
