Chapter 12: Yes I did it

"This day has really come..." Elena mumbled to herself as the door to her cell opened.

It was finally the day of the trial.

"How do I get out of this?" Elena thought, tears stinging the corners of her eyes. The sound coming out of her mouth was muffled; she no longer had the strength to cry.

"I have been crying nonstop, pleading to you, moon goddess for your divine intervention. Have you forsaken me?" She mumbled.

"Get up!" Beta Asher snarled at her. Elena tried to get up but her legs wobbled and she fell back onto the floor.

"Oh, I see you need help." The man said, smirking then he started dragging Elena out of the cell.

"Fuck!" Elena gritted her teeth as pain shot through her whole body.

Few hours later, Elena was at the pack she had escaped from, to face the council. She was in chains; her hands and legs which were tied, were bleeding.
