Buta as he stared into the eyes of his fated mate and saw how much she struggled to be aloof and keep the contemptious look on her face, he felt a dagger pass through his heart. She was going through so much more pain.

If Katie should tell him to die in order to pay for all he did to hurt her and her friend, Aurora, he would gladly do so. But more than that, he needed her to look at him less hatefully.
