MAVERICK'S POV

I kept looking at my woman's face, waiting for the time when she would laugh in my face and tell me she was joking and just pulling my leg, that she was making fun of my desire to have babies with her because she woke up from this state due to me. 

My heart was drumming in my chest, and everything in my body was praying to the moon goddess to make this true.

However, when she didn't laugh or show any signs of being funny, I couldn't help but feel my heart skip. 

Was she telling the truth? My mate was pregnant with my child. She would be a mother, and I would be the father. 

Our little one would roam in the pack, surpassing orders to everyone from my side. 

The thought of having my baby in my arms, hearing him call me Papa for the first time, fulfilling my baby's wishes, and loving him to the moon and back started taking over my mind, and for a moment, I didn't know how to react.
