"Is it done?" I asked, finally standing from my place. 

I waited for someone to object. However, everyone had the same helpless expression on their faces. And why not? They had nothing to counter our words. We beat them to it, fair and square. 

'You did well,' I said to Maverick, who raised his eyebrows. 

'Well, thank you, my lady, for the appreciation. Can I look forward to some reward from my Highness?' Maverick said meticulously, and I chuckled at his words inwardly. 

I know exactly what kind of reward he was talking about. 

As I sighed, I saw someone standing from the corner of my eyes and couldn't help but smirk. 

Right. That was exactly what I was wondering about. How come the whole thing passed without anyone trying to attack me? How come they took my position without retaliating?
