VALENCIA'S POV

"Are you nervous?" Maverick's words brought me out of my thoughts as we sat in the car leading to the Hazel Moon pack.

Was I nervous? I wasn't sure about it.

I indeed felt edgy, a bit arrogant, and dominating.

Who wouldn't? I was the same person they bullied thoroughly because she couldn't turn into her wolf form. Now, that same person was returning as the alpha of their pack.

Though it was something to be proud of, I felt edgy because I had once promised myself that I would destroy Hazel Moon Pack thoroughly for what they did to me.

It was quite an irony that now I was the one who needed to think of their welfare, and it was surely souring my mood.

"Let's just get this over with. I don't want to lead any other pack but Dark Callisto pack," I said.

Shadow immediately smiled and nodded at me through the rearview mirror.
