THIRD PERSON'S POV 

Happy looked at the alpha who killed everyone who tortured their master and nodded in approval. 

Though he was still angry, he at least approved of the alpha's tactics. Maverick dared not grab her in his arms, afraid she would lash out. He grabbed her hand and pulled her out with himself, making the other guards gasp at the sight as they could clearly see what was on her shoulders. 

Jonathan and Dylan rushed to where she stood and looked at her condition with a pitiful gaze. 

They could see that Valencia was hurt, but what Maverick did was...

They didn't even have the words to explain. 

Maverick turned to look around, his gaze meeting a familiar pair. He used his alpha speed to catch the culprit without wasting a second. 

Cordelia, who had not anticipated something like this and just wanted to know what was happening, widened her eyes when she saw Maverick rushing to her.
