Capítulo 29: Origins
"It's boring here" A beautiful woman? says as her legs dangle off a white throne. The throne dwarfs her by many sizes. She is an ant compared to the throne she sits on, her legs dangling off the edge. Another voice answers her rhetorical statement.
"You threw away all the fun" A woman in a similar outfit walks in. It seems like everyone wears the same white robe. Either chitons or Togas. Though it is traditional clothing, it looking anything but with how much material the women removed from the outfit.
"Is it my fault my husband was a whore?"
"You killed every male in the Pantheon. Screw the Pantheon, you killed every male in the Realm of Deities"
"They were all the same"
"It's boring because you have no dick in you"
"And you call yourself a goddess"
"They call me a goddess. I just need something in me."
"Aren't you a horny Goddess? Go visit that Odyssey of yours"
"I would love to but he's persistently loyal to that wife of his. Is that the reason you spared him... and banished him to Earth?"
"Hmm, he died for her. I'm willing to respect that... barely."
"Well Ladies" A new voice enters, her cloths more traditional compared to the other two women.
"Ugh, what do you need Artemis?" Hera's voice echoes in the empty-ish building as her form grows to fit the throne she sits on.
"I have feelings too you know?" A smile plays on the face of Artemis. She is obviously very proud of what she came up with.
""No you don't"" Hera and Athena look at each other before looking away. Their time without Gods has led them to explore themselves... Interesting but not enough to fill them like the Zeus, Poseidon or even Hades used to. They don't count Hades as part of the three because he actually did his job. He was a tad above the other two in terms of admin. He was a blue-collar worker who looked to fuck only when his work was done... so like twice a week.
"No, I don't" Their words don't phase Artemis and continue speaking. "I've been reading these fantasy novels they have on Earth. There is a concept called dungeons."
"Let me see that," The book materialises in front of Hera. She reaches into her nonexistent pocket and pulls out a pair of glasses. She doesn't need to use glasses but she feels more sophisticated with it. "Hmm. Interesting. And you want to just put Dungeons on Earth? That doesn't sound like much fun."
"No, it's more complicated." Artemis looks around and spots a lone pillar simply there for decoration. "See this pillar?"
Hera and Athena nod to the other Goddess telling her to speed this up so she doesn't waste their time.
"Break it and split it into billions of tiny pieces, then we send it to Earth. Those pieces will be transformed into Dungeons."
"Slightly more interesting. Go on." It isn't that interesting, but Hera has nothing else to do.
"It would be boring if it ends there. The bigger pieces create stronger dungeons while the smaller ones create weaker ones. When a dungeon reaches the maximum limit in their rank they can either move to the next rank or duplicate themselves."
"I'm losing interest. It sounds fun but not for long."
"This is where it gets interesting."
"Could have fooled me." A yawn from Athena does not dissuade Artemis.
"The dungeon uses energy to create monsters. If a mortal manages to completely drain the dungeon of their energy then... they will receive the pillar!" She seems way too excited to the other two Goddesses for this. The other two don't see the appeal of this 'dungeon' thing.
"That's it?"
"I got my hopes up for nothing."
"Hush. I'm not done. These pieces change in value according to the rank of the dungeon. Once a mortal collects enough, say... 500. Each pillar will have a different value of course. If they reach a value of 500, yeah, 500, let's go with that. If they reach a value of 500 then they become legendary. We can discuss it with them and decide what essence they receive"
"Hmm, sounds interesting but, there are many goddesses that have dominion over the Earth. If you can get... a 1000 of them to agree then we can go ahead with this plan of yours." Hera gives her judgement and keeps reading the novel in her hand. It's only slightly more interesting than what she was doing before... which was nothing.
"Why are you doing this?" Athena looks at Artemis with suspicion.
"Is that any of your business?" Artemis looks at the Goddess of war, one of them at least. She feels no fear, she's pretty sure she can take her on if she wants to 'throw hands' as the mortals say.
"Hmph. I guess not." Athena huffs. She doesn't provoke the Goddess of the hunt. She knows she won't win in a duel.
"Ohh" Their staring contest is cut short when they hear a semi-squeal from the Goddess of Goddesses. They both look at her and are taken aback by her red cheeks. Hera looks up from her book. "It's spicy"
"Ohh" Artemis nods understanding what's happening while Athena decides to walk away from them both. She doesn't want to know what they're speaking of. "If you think it's bad in fantasy you should read Dark Romance."
"What is that?"
"Here. Start with this one. It's by Made Zeadows" Artemis waves her hand and a new novel appears in the hand of Hera. She starts reading the book.
"Umm, you read this?" Hera looks pale.
"Yes. Why?" The Goddess of Goddesses, the goddess of marriage looks between the words in front of her and the Goddess of the hunt.
"I understand now." Hera dematerialises the book in front of her with a look as if receiving the answer to the universe. "It's always the virgins"
"What does that mean?"
"Nothing you need to know."
"Hmph." Artemis huffs and walks away.
