Meanwhile, Annika silently hoped Alex could learn a thing or two from Jay's romantic gestures, instead of his occasional aloofness."Oh well, let's just enjoy the moment," she mused with a smile.
Approaching the family, Jay respectfully touched DD's, Mrs Royce's and Alex's aunt's feet, offering each a brief hug. When he reached Annika, he couldn't help but admire her. "Wow, beautiful!"he exclaimed, catching her off guard. "Let me guess," Jay continued playfully, "you must be Annika, Alex's wife, right? Pleasure to meet you". Extending his hand for a handshake, Jay was met with Annika's folded hands and a warm smile . "Greetings," she replied warmly.
Returning the gesture, Jay introduced himself, "l'm Jay". Annika nodded, recalling his wife's earlier mention. "Ah yes, your lovely wife told me about you she replied. "Seems l missed the chance to introduce myself earlier. Well, better late than never, right ?" Everyone chuckled at Jay's friendly banter until he noticed their amusement. "Alright, enough laughter. How about we dig into the food?" he suggested, eyeing the almonds. I'm famished". Snatching an almond, he popped it into his mouth. "And let's not forget about our luggage. Martin, Marks, could you please take it to our room?"
