As Oscar slept soundly, I delved into our shared consciousness, seeking answers within the depths of the system. 'System status,' I inquired, prompting a blue screen to materialize before me.

Proceeding to initiate the system update and stat enhancement, I settled in for the mundane task, the passage of time marked only by the dull hum of the virtual interface.

Finally, as the update was completed, I accessed the system stats once more to survey the changes. I then used the 10 stat points.

After confirming the choice for Oscar's stats, I ventured into the system's store, eager to explore the array of items available for purchase. As I sifted through the virtual shelves, a plethora of tantalizing goods greeted me, ranging from powerful artifacts to whimsical trinkets inspired by various anime and fiction. However, many of the most coveted items remained frustratingly out of reach, their price tags far beyond our humble budget of 500 gold. And many other items are unavailable like the Sharingan and many other items.

Undeterred by our limited funds, I scoured the store for bargains and clearance items, adding whatever affordable treasures I could find to our cart. Though they may not have been as flashy or formidable as the legendary Sharigan or other unattainable relics, each modest acquisition promised to offer some degree of utility and assistance.

With the items purchased and our inventory updated, I wasted no time in activating the tomes, granting Oscar access to the valuable skills contained within. As I initiated the process, a shimmering aura enveloped Oscar, suffusing him with newfound knowledge and proficiency in the various disciplines detailed within the tome's pages.

As the train finally arrived in Mistral, Oscar groggily stirred from his slumber, rubbing his eyes before realizing their destination. With a sense of purpose, he gathered his belongings and disembarked, stepping onto the platform and gazing up at the grandeur of the Mistralian cityscape.

Upon witnessing the towering palace that adorned the converging mountain peaks, Oscar marveled at the architectural beauty of the East Asian-inspired structure. His eyes roamed over the layers of Mistral, each tier of the city revealing a tapestry of diversity, from the humble abodes of the lower levels to the opulent estates perched atop the highest tiers.

After wandering aimlessly through the bustling streets of Mistral, Oscar found himself amidst a vibrant marketplace, uncertainty clouding his thoughts. "So where are we going anyway?" he questioned, seeking guidance amidst the labyrinthine cityscape.

'To find where Qrow and team RNJR are,' I replied, my voice tinged with uncertainty. 'But the situation is complicated. I'm not Ozpin, and I'm not sure how Qrow will react to someone else assuming a leadership role, especially with Ozpin gone and another reincarnate taking his place.'

Oscar mulled over my words, grappling with the weight of our predicament. "Are you sure? Why not just be upfront with them about what happened?" he proposed, his brow furrowed in contemplation.

'It's not that simple,' I explained, my tone somber. 'We don't know why Ozpin is gone, and I fear that revealing our presence without knowing what happened could cause them to mistrust us. Qrow, especially, may see us as a threat, suspecting we had a hand in Ozpin's death. We must be careful and prove ourselves.'

With a heavy sigh, I grappled with the uncertainty of our circumstances, knowing that our path forward would be fraught with challenges and uncertainties. Yet, bolstered by Oscar's determination and my own resolve, we remained steadfast.

As Oscar and I continued our search for Qrow and team RNJR, the hours stretched into what felt like an eternity, with no sign of our allies in sight. Frustration gnawed at our resolve, but Oscar found solace in a cozy spot atop a nearby rooftop, observing the ebb and flow of life below.

"So, I can fight without learning how to fight?" Oscar questioned, his uncertainty palpable as he sought clarification on the skills bestowed upon him by the system.

'Yes, but also no,' I affirmed, my voice laced with assurance. 'With the system's upgrades, your mind and muscle memory have been enhanced to wield combat techniques effectively. Taijutsu, a martial arts style, is now at your disposal, complemented by the protective combat gloves to bolster your striking power, also the more you practice the better you can get at Taijutsu and learn more advanced moves that were not in the initial Tomes. Additionally, you now possess a bo staff and combat glove as weapons. And let's not forget your newest spell, the flaming fist, which imbues your strikes with a fiery touch.'

Excitement gleamed in Oscar's eyes as he absorbed the details of his newfound abilities. "A new spell! Can we go fight some Grimm?" he exclaimed, eager to put his fiery prowess to the test.

I chuckled at his enthusiasm, though tempered it with a note of caution. 'Not yet. Let's focus on finding Qrow and RNJR first. Once we've found them, you'll have plenty of opportunities to unleash your newfound power against enemies. But there's one more thing you need to do—start working out.'

"Why? I thought the system could make me stronger," Oscar retorted, his initial enthusiasm waning as the reality of physical exertion sank in.

'Yes, the system helps, but physical training accelerates the process,' I explained patiently. 'By working out, you'll increase the growth of your stats. So from now on, it's sweat and soreness until you collapse.'

With a mixture of reluctance and determination, Oscar accepted the new regimen, understanding that true strength required effort beyond the confines of the system.

As Oscar admired the bustling cityscape of Mistral from the rooftop, a sudden cry for help shattered the silence of the moment. Our attention snapped downward to the scene unfolding below—a frantic individual desperately pleading for aid as a shadowy figure clad in black darted through the crowded streets, a peculiar mask obscuring their features.

"Hopefully they catch them," Oscar remarked, his voice laced with uncertainty as he observed the commotion below, his faith in the local Huntsmen to handle the situation evident.

'Yup, we'll catch them,' I declared confidently, eliciting a surprised reaction from Oscar. "What do you mean 'us'? Shouldn't the Huntsmen handle this?" he questioned, his confusion palpable as he sought clarification on my intention

'yes, us,' I affirmed, my tone resolute. 'I'm bored, and you need to level up. Trust me, a petty thief is nothing compared to the fight's you'll face in the future. Besides, as a reincarnate from another world, you'll be fine.'

Oscar hesitated, his uncertainty evident as he grappled with the idea of stepping into the role of a hero. "If you say so," he conceded, his resolve wavering slightly before he steeled himself for action. With a determined expression, he leaped from our perch atop the building, embarking on the pursuit of the thief below.

As we descended into the chaos of the streets, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement coursing through our shared consciousness. With each step forward.

In pursuit of the thief, Oscar found himself struggling to navigate through the bustling marketplace, hindered by the throngs of people crowding the narrow streets. Despite his best efforts, the thief's nimble movements kept them just out of reach, their pace matching Oscar's determined strides with uncanny precision.

[+1 Endurance]

As I observed the increase in Oscar's endurance, I realized that sheer perseverance alone wouldn't be enough to catch the thief . I needed to update Oscar's stats more, particularly in agility and endurance, if we hoped to close the gap and catch the thief before they vanished into the maze like streets of Mistral.

[+1 Endurance]

Oscar continued to push himself, his breaths coming in ragged gasps as he relentlessly pursued the fleeing figure through the crowded marketplace. Yet, despite his efforts, the thief seemed to only grow swifter, slipping through the gaps in the crowd with effortless grace while Oscar struggled to maintain his pace.

[+1 Endurance]

With each passing moment, the distance between Oscar and the thief widened, the fleeting glimpse of the culprit disappearing into the bustling throng of shoppers. Exhaustion weighed heavily upon Oscar as he fought to keep pace, his resolve faltering as the realization of his impending failure loomed.

[+1 Endurance]

As Oscar's stamina waned and the thief slipped further from his grasp, a sense of defeat washed over him, his weary form slowing to a halt amidst the bustling marketplace. "No, they're too fast…" he muttered, his voice tinged with frustration as he watched the thief vanish from sight.

But I refused to accept defeat, my mind racing with a newfound idea. 'Oscar, we're not done yet. I have an idea,' I declared, my voice echoing within our shared consciousness.

Somewhere deep within the bustling streets of Mistral, the thief paused to assess his ill-gotten gains, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction as he surveyed the treasures he had stolen . Yet, his moment of triumph was abruptly shattered by the resounding echoes of explosions that rent the air, drawing his attention skyward to behold a remarkable sight.

A figure soared through the air with flames dancing from his outstretched palms, hurtling towards the thief with fiery determination. Before the criminal could comprehend the impending danger, a blazing fist collided with his face, sending him hurtling into the unforgiving embrace of a nearby brick wall, where he crumpled unconscious.

As the dust settled, Oscar stood victorious, his breaths coming in exhilarated gasps as he surveyed the scene before him. "You were right. I guess I could use flame burst to propel myself through the air," he remarked, acknowledging the invaluable advice of the voice in his head.

'Yup, I thought of that after recalling a similar move from a show I watched back home. Pretty awesome, huh?' I chimed in, sharing in Oscar's triumph as he retrieved the stolen goods and returned them to their rightful owner.

Grateful for Oscar's intervention, the shop owner expressed his heartfelt gratitude and rewarded him with a generous sum of lien, a token of appreciation for his bravery and heroism. However, amidst the accolades and praise, Oscar found himself facing the reproachful gaze of a seasoned huntsman, who admonished him for his lack of a proper Huntsman license.

After being scolded by huntsmen, we found a little Ramen shop in Mistral to celebrate our success in stopping the thief, Oscar sat in the Ramen on a stool. His food was eventually given to him and he began to dig in.

As Oscar voraciously devoured his ramen, his hunger piqued by the day's events, I took the opportunity to delve into the system's inbox.

With a satisfied grin, I reviewed the bountiful rewards bestowed upon us for our heroic deed. Excitement surged within me as I contemplated the possibilities offered by our newfound enhancements.

While Oscar was eating, a voice called out. To me that voice was awfully familiar.

Oscar paused mid-bite, his attention drawn to the familiar voice that echoed through the bustling ramen shop. Turning his gaze, he spotted a man leaning casually against the doorway. It was none other than Qrow Branwen, his unkempt hair framing a weathered face and him taking a swig from a metal flask.

Qrow's piercing gaze met Oscar's, a faint smirk playing on his lips as he observed the young farm boy before him. Despite his disheveled appearance, there was an undeniable aura of strength and confidence that surrounded him.

"That was quite the show back there, kid," Qrow remarked, his voice tinged with amusement. "Who taught you how to handle yourself in a fight?"

Oscar swallowed nervously, momentarily taken aback by the unexpected encounter with the renowned huntsman. Gathering his composure, he straightened up in his seat.

'Oh shit.'
