Capítulo 45: Chapter 45: Tokonosu Bridge
Rei, Saya, Jasmine, Lois, Saeko and Shizuka were on the road. "We did all that and we let them take the bus," Saua pouted. She put her hands on her hips.
"We could have taken the bus," Saeko added. She looked at Slasher and swung it around. Her smile had ill intentions.
"We did not want them all to come to Shizuka`s apartment," Lois replied.
"Especially Shido," Rei whispered. She gripped her M4W and held it tight between her breasts.
Jasmine looked at her. She could see that he upsets her and wondered what happened between them. She put her hand over her shoulder. Rei smiled back.
"It's not far from here," Shizuka remarked. She put her finger on her cheek and thought. "I think it's that way," Shizuka added.
"You are unsure?" Saya asked.
"This is not the road I usually take," Shizuka said, wailing her arms. Lois smiled.
"Let's get moving, it's getting dark," Saeko observed.
"I hope mum is doing okay," Rei muttered, looking at the sun.
"She will be," Jasmine assured her. She looked at Saya and Saeko. "They all will be," she added.
They all started working down the road. Lois and Rei took up front positions. Shizuka and Saeko stayed together in the centre, while Jasmine and Saya took the rear. They stayed together in formation and walked down the road.
Saeko saw Jasmine was carrying the suitcase with them. "What is in the suitcase now?" Saeko asked.
"It's the Grenade Launcher and some ammo for our guns," Lois replied.
Saya saw this when they were in the bathroom together. "You all do seem well equipped," Saya remarked, looking at the Ray Gun.
"It's like you knew this was going to happen," Shizuka innocently said.
Rei, Saeko and Saya thought. "James can explain better but we had a feeling this may happen but even if we tried to warn people, do you think anyone will believe us?" Lois stated.
Rei thought she was right, she did not believe James and Takashi when they first told her. She denied until she saw one for herself.
"But you could have," Saya tried to say.
"She is right, no one will believe them anyway without evidence," Saeko stated. Saya felt conflicted however in her heart she knew they were right.
"But why were there only bottles for us then?" Rei asked. She thought she knew the answer but this all felt surreal to her.
"Like we said, James knows you four are special, special to him," Lois replied as she scanned her surroundings.
"It was a lot to carry, I usually have servants for that," Jasmine remarked.
"Servants?" Shizuka asked. She was curious about that.
"She did have a big palace," Lois replied as she smiled.
"So did James," Jasmine quickly replied, thinking about the palace.
"Just for you," Lois teased back. Jasmine smiled.
Rei and Saya thought, James is a prince then? They said he was not, before, they thought.
"How did you and James meet?" Saya added.
"I was escaping from my palace when I met him in the bazaar. He was charming and cute and we got along," Jasmine replied.
"Escaping?" Saeko asked.
"My father wanted to forcibly marry me and I want to explore the world," Jasmine replied.
"That sounds horrible," Rei added.
"That's not the end of it, the loyal servant of the palace tried to enslave me as his wife and take over using his sorcery powers," Jasmine explained.
"Sorcery powers?" Saeko asked. She looked at Slasher, it felt like it had sorcery powers.
"Like transforming into a snake or breathing fire," Jasmine replied. She said, like it was the most normal thing in the world.
Rei, Saya, Sakeo, and Shizuka exchanged glances, their expressions a mirror of surprise. On any other day, the words spoken by her would have been called crazy. However, today was far from ordinary. Smoke hung thick in the air. Sirens wailed in the distance. They all thought she was telling the truth.
Saya thought she saw James also transform. "Can James use sorcery?" Saya asked.
"I don't think so," Jasmine replied.
"So it's the watch then?" Saeko asked. She had also seen the watch in his hand. It looked different.
"Yes, it's called the Ultimatrix and it allows James to transform into aliens, monsters and creatures for a limited amount of time," Lois explained. Lois knew they all would be joining them so it was okay for her to tell them everything.
"Wow," Shizuka exclaimed. She added, "That is so cool." There were sparkles in her eyes.
"It feels like a fantasy," Rei replied.
"James will make your fantasy come true," Lois said. Saeko, Shizuka, Saya and Rei all smiled. They thought he would. Shizuka had a perverted look.
They walked down the road, when they heard the sound of a few motorbikes in the distance. They looked up and saw a dust cloud. Upon closer inspection, they saw three motorbikes with two people each. They were racing down the road.
"Keep your guard up," Lois remarked.
"Do you think they will be dangerous?" Shizuka asked.
"In this world now, anyone can be," Saeko replied.
The bikes stopped in front of the girls. They were all wearing helmets, black leather jackets and blue jeans. Their bikes looked like Harley Davidson. The person in front said," Look like we got some fresh girls." They all looked at the beautiful girls in front of them. There was red hair, blond, brunette and purple hair.
"The boss said to find some young and ripe ones," another added, looking at the school uniforms. Their voices were muffled due to the helmet.
"Take a hike," Rei replied.
"This one has an attitude," another one joked.
"They have guns," the fourth man said. There was a hint of nervousness in his voice.
"That even better, girls and guns we have hit the jackpot," the fifth man added. He started to laugh.
"We are asking nicely, leave us alone or else," Lois warned, her voice steady but laced with an unmistakable edge. The air crackled with tension.
They all started to laugh. "What are you going to do?" the first man said as he reached for the gun. Lois immediately fired a single bullet and hit the man in his hand. He screamed in pain.
"You bitch," the second man shouted.
"There is plenty more where that came from," Lois replied. Rei, Saya and Jasmine aimed their guns at them. Their fingers on the trigger. However they were all shaking slightly. Saeko kept her sword in the guard position.
The bikers knew they were serious. "You will regret this," one of the bikers shouted as they all turned their accelerators and left at full speed.
Saya, Rei and Jasmine let out a sigh of relief. "That could have gone bad," Shizuka remarked.
"It would have been if we didn't have these guns," Rei said. She mentally thanked James.
"There will be more like them now, thinking they can take what they want," Lois added.
"That is awful," Jasmine added.
"Do you think it was wise to let them leave?" Saeko asked.
"We are not killers," Lois replied.
They continued to walk down the road. They saw helicopters flying in the distance. The group turned right and continued to walk. "My feet hurt," Shizuka remarked.
"We have been walking for less than an hour," Saya said.
"Are we almost there?" Jasmine asked.
"Yes, we are," Shizuka confirmed. They walked down the road until they saw the bridge. The bridge had a metal structure on top of it. It was a wide bridge which could serve both people and traffic. "There's the bridge," Shizuka pointed to.
"And them," Rei remarked. There was a horde of zombies in front of the bridge. They were wearing shirts, pants, construction hats and police uniforms. The zombies moved slowly, bumping into each occasionally. Their eyes were glowing. Their faces were grey and had no life. Two dozen of them started to run towards the girls all of a sudden.
Rei and Lois started to fire their M4W. A hail of bullets were unleashed from their barrels. Lois aimed down the sight and started to spray. Rei took onto her knee and also let it rip.Their bullets hit the zombies as one by one started to fall.
Saya and Jasmine aimed their guns at the horde as well. They started to fire. The blast from the Ray Gun hit the second horde, almost killing them all. The splash damage had ripped their bodies. They had exploded, leaving little traces of their bodies. "Wow," Saya remarked.
Jasmine took aim and finished off the remaining zombies. She aimed down the sight and fired her Red Hawk. The bullets hit with such impact, they could be knocked off their feet before dropping to the ground.
Saeko saw a zombie coming towards them. She ran towards him with Slasher. She swung her sword and slashed his chest. Blood came from his body as the zombie went down. Saeko had a wide grin on her face.
At that moment, they heard the sound of a bike approaching them. "Not them again," Rei remarked.
