Lin Yiyi now believed that it was the right choice not to go upstairs.

Even though she held no particular phobia of dentists... the eerie atmosphere of Gerald's dental clinic made her somewhat ill at ease.

Objectively speaking, it was a rather tidy clinic. Although the walls were a bit yellowed, at least within the visible range, Lin Yiyi couldn't see any garbage.

It appeared the owner was quite obsessive about cleanliness.

But for some reason, upon entering the clinic, she always felt a bit restless.

It was similar to the feeling of being summoned to the teacher's office during school days; or the sense of anticipation when waiting for the results after a checkup at a hospital when feeling unwell.

Nervous, uneasy, apprehensive... and a bit of inexplicable excitement. There was a chill at the back of her neck, and she felt cold on her skin. Her arms felt a little like they were tingling with a cold, with a slight neuropathic pain to the touch.
