Capítulo 5: Chapter 5

—Third person—

The moonlight shone through the windows onto a shaking bed, with scattered sheets and clothes indicating they were hastily undressed.

Moans and gasps could be heard throughout the room, and the scent of sex permeated the air.

As the bed stopped shaking, a sharp whimper left the fair lady with luscious black hair. The sides of her face were blocked by the white hair of her man.

Falling on his back, he embraced the lady who had a flushed face, pressing her trembling feminine body to his side as her face rested on his chest.

His excitement limped after the nth time of indulging himself in the welcoming heat of his partner's body. The wet moisture from the white fluid mixed with clear liquid leaking between her legs was proof of their sensual indulgence.

"That was the best," Shizue muttered into his chest, sending vibrations through him.

"It seems you've enjoyed yourself quite a bit. It was supposed to be my reward, you know?" Placing a kiss on top of her luscious black hair, he mumbled.

"Yes, because I'm allowed to enjoy the warmth and heat of my man's body." She licked his left nipple before slightly biting it, making the white haired man groan in pleasure.

"I've found a way to separate Ifrit from your body," he said seriously while she continued licking and biting his nipple.

"I see." Contrary to his expectations, she just replied with no excitement whatsoever; instead, her voice was nothing but a whisper.

"You're afraid that you'll be useless if you lose Ifrit, huh?" he said as he sat up, took her, and placed her on his lap, with her legs on either side of his body, his hand drew circles on the small of her back.

Figuring out what her thoughts were was not much of a problem for him anymore; he could tell what she was feeling with one look.

She nodded, with small drops of tears leaving her eyes.

"It's not like losing Ifrit would make you any less powerful than before. It's just spirit magic," he said as he hugged her tightly, embracing her with his heart beating loudly enough for her to hear.

"Besides, it's not your strength that makes me feel secure, it's your presence in my life, here with me." He whispered into her ears, smiling when he felt her hands sneaking behind his back and embracing him tightly.

"Let's depart for the Republic of Ulgreisia tomorrow morning." Patting her back a few times, he could feel her smile. Kissing the top of her head, he scooped her up and walked to the door next to the wall, the royal baths. She yelped and tightened her legs around him, pressing her body tightly into him.

—Shizue pov—

The sunlight gleamed on top of us as we walked through the dense forest. Karna had told me last night that he found a way to separate Ifrit from me.

Even though he said it might have the possibility of not working, for the first time in my life...

"So, what are you so seriously thinking about?" I heard his voice as I turned to look at him.

His silvery white hair and striking blue eyes radiated warmth as he looked at me, making me fall in love with him all over again.

"No, nothing. I was thinking about what would've happened if I hadn't met and taken you in," I replied truthfully.

"Hm, let me guess. You would've not train any further and would've continued helping people at your past power level."

I nodded. Certainly, what he said was also true. I would've never trained and just used my previous powers; I wouldn't have become a saint if not for him.

As expected from him, he's truly born to be a hero. He once told me that he was named after someone who was a great and kind king. About how he excelled in archery, just like the king from the stories. I didn't have any time to study anything other than Japan when I was summoned.

I was only starting to go to school; I was just 10, a grade schooler, when I was caught up inside the flame and was summoned here. He told me that bombings were part of a war that encompassed the entire world.

World War II.

I shook my head and rearranged my thoughts.

One of the things I find fascinating about Karna is that his soul was not like others; even his haki was not like others. It had a further impact, as if you'd been touched by the divine.

We walked towards the Republic of Ulgreisia without words. It was where the dwelling of spirits was; apparently, the Queen of Spirits lives there. He believes that she can seperate ifrit from me.

It might take some days to reach there if we go at the current pace.

My worry was that what if some kingdom decides to attack Raja Kingdom when we are not there. It should be impossible for us not to know, as the barrier we put up will automatically alert us if something happens.

Raja Kingdom had yet to crown us as rulers. While I doubt that any neighbouring kingdom would take any action against us, I don't have the fantasy of the kingdoms giving up their thrones and kneeling to us peacefully.

I have to be prepared to fight a war with the very humans we protected. But now, with our own people and responsibilities, we must take up arms against our own kin.

Karna very well understood this. He was from Tenjiku, a land that has seen countless wars. As I understand, it must be in their blood by now.

It was our 'Dharma,' as he called it, to fight against the injustice that keeps happening in the western nations. I'm sure even if I hadn't found him and taken him in, he would've eventually become a great hero on his own.

'If it comes to war, I would undoubtedly stand by his side.' Losing Ifrit would limit my spirit magic, which would be a significant loss. Using my Inferno Flame which was an attack using spirit energy, would be limited and significantly weaker.

But that doesn't matter. Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll be able to tackle it. Even if we couldn't, I'm ready to even sacrifice my life for him if it comes to that.

—Underworld—

In the dreaded underworld, a majestic palace nestled deep among battling demons who fought without concern for themselves, spells were being unleashed without restraint.

Within the palace resided a room adorned with royal and intricate designs, contrasting against the white walls. The walls of the room were mostly unadorned, except for a throne-like chair and a table that occupied the central space. Upon that chair sat a goddess, her presence captivating and enigmatic.

She had smooth purple hair tied into a single bun on the left side of her head, while the rest cascaded down to the right. Despite her small stature, she exuded an overwhelming aura of power and authority. This was no ordinary demon.

Opening her previously closed eyes, she directed her gaze towards a specific direction, her sharp eyes reflecting her keen interest as she formed a smirk.

"Oh?" Her smirk widened as she felt the connection to her magic detach. No, it would be better to say it was forcibly severed by something, or someone in this case.

"Well, well. This is quite intriguing," she mused. "Very well then, I shall watch your career with great interest," her voice shimmering in excitement and twisted glee.

"At least for the time being. Hehehehe." A malevolent grin stretched across her lips as she let out a hearty laugh, tilting her head back towards the throne.

—Cardinal world.—

A man and a woman were standing in front of a door. The man had silvery white hair, sharp features, and striking blue eyes.

The woman had luscious black hair that fell to the small of her back, captivating black eyes, and an unforgettable figure, with curves in all the right places.

"So this is the door to the dwelling of the spirits," the man muttered as he looked at his partner, who nodded with a smile. He was looking forward to seeing what awaited them inside the dwelling, as was his partner.

They had to walk for two and a half days through the forest to reach here; it would be boring and worthless if it was all just bland.

It was a rather intricate-looking door. It was large for just being a door. It would be more accurate to call it a gate.

Taking her hand and placing it on the door, he pressed his hand on hers, opening the door.
