Chapter 37: The Final Battle III

Ay's eyes spoke of pure killing intent, having confirmed that the Isaac before him was the real one for he considered him to be a way a higher threat to the village than Fugaku, thus, "Die!!!!"
Blood splattered everywhere, followed by a cry of pain and anger, and then came confusion as Ay's fist came into contact with what he was certain to be Isaac.
What was supposed to be the real Isaac simply poofed in a burst of smoke while what was supposed to be mere projections turned out to be shadow clones as their attack fell upon him.
Ay's expression shook as he felt several water bullets almost pierce him, nearly breaking his defense, and most importantly, he felt that familiar blade shred his upper back, barely missing his head.
No, Isaac didn't miss, but Ay simply reacted too fast, although this time that didn't help much considering the bloody holes all over his body.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Whirlwind!!" And if that wasn't enough, Ay clearly heard Fugaku's words as the latter's hands swiftly moved, summoning a gigantic storm of flames that surrounded Ay completely.
"Steel Spear!" Ay could still react to Fugaku's Fire Release despite the latter's swiftness in casting the technique, but Isaac was on a whole different level.
Ay got to experience the result of Isaac's words before the latter had finished them as a massive spear erupted from the ground.
And all Isaac needed to summon it was to touch the ground and manifest what appeared to be a small circle of symbols, that perfectly fit together.
It did hurt, it hurt too much as Ay used his arms both as a shield against the piercing spear while the flames enveloped him.
However, his experience and reaction time allowed him to use the force of the spear to send himself way back, a safe distance from the two.
Ay's expression was clearly Solomen, the pain coming from the numerous wounds on his body did little to change his expression, and neither did the burn marks.
Even though the lightning around him stopped the bleeding, he was still in a very precarious situation, all because of Isaac and his annoying tricks, "You've improved."
It's not the first time he faced Isaac, but usually, the latter's clones dissipate easily, yet somehow now, they are able to bear through his burst of lightning.
"So did you, although barely so," Isaac didn't mind returning the same nice compliment, especially when it comes to compliments about his progress.
Isaac is always working hard toward perfection, and one of his major projects is without a doubt Shadow Clones.
Shadow Clones are basically nothing but chakra, forming his image. That chakra, however, flows within the clones in a specific way, similar to how chakra flows through Isaac's chakra pathways.
Isaac, however, has his body as a protective layer, making it more difficult for his chakra flow to be disrupted, and even if disrupted, he can easily get his chakra back under control.
The clones don't have that luxury. Depending on one's proficiency in the technique, even a slight touch can disrupt the clones' chakra flow, causing them to dissipate.
Isaac only recently somewhat solved that problem by imprinting a code in the clones that automates chakra flow and makes it much more stable, although not strong enough to survive heavy hits.
"Fire Release: Great Flame Technique!!" Fugaku would of course not allow Ay to stall for time as he released numerous streams of flames from his mouth, all heading toward Ay.
Time is of the essence for there is only so much Minato can do against the beast within Killer B.
Minato is only responsible for delaying B, but once the beast within him goes wild, he may not be able to stop him, which may lead to the beast joining Ay, thus making the operation a failure.
Therefore, Ay has to go. That might not directly end the war, but it will definitely lessen the burden on Konoha, specifically, the Uchihas.
"Wind blade," Isaac waved his blade, and despite Ay being far away, his blade released an arc of wind that traveled incredibly quickly, surpassing Fugaku's streams of flames.
"Damn Uchiha!!" Ay cursed in frustration and anger, not only because Isaac's tricks frustrated him, but also because he could see and hear the cries of his people as they fell one by one.
However, there wasn't much he could do but vanish from his place, appearing near Isaac, his fists falling upon the ground instead of Isaac, sending rubbles everywhere.
"Black Hole," He was, however, too close, allowing Isaac to take advantage of that as an orb manifested itself on his palm, attracting everything around, including the rubbles as well as Ay.
"Fire Release: Great Blaze Ball!!" Fugaku's voice resounded directly after, exhaling a meteor-sized sphere of fire that seemed to carry a massive amount of destruction within.
He seemed to be unconcerned about the impact of such a destructive move on Isaac as the latter was right by Ay.
Isaac was also unconcerned about his well-being as he leaped toward Ay, the latter finding himself pulled toward Isaac by the black hole, finding himself faced with Isaac's sharp blade.
"Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave!!!" The one to use this technique was none other than Ay who was able to use it almost instantly, spewing a tsunami of water.
It was followed by a destructive burst of lightning that traveled through the water, complementing each other to create a dead zone, one that if Isaac's blade came in contact with, he may find himself suffering as a result.
The technique though seemed to be used mostly against Isaac's black hole and Fugaku's flames, hoping to create an opportunity to retreat.
The wave of electrified water traveled toward Isaac first for he was the nearest, yet the latter seemed adamant about going after Ay.
Just that action alone made Ay wary, realizing that it might be just a clone, and indeed, he felt the heat coming from above him.
At some point, another Isaac appeared high in the air above him, with a blade of pure destructive magma in his right hand.
Isaac's left hand was pointed backwards as it gave manifestation to a runic circle which released a heavy burst of wind, sending him falling upon Ay.
Moreover, Ay also felt the heat coming from behind him as another Isaac appeared there. He was surrounded by Fugaku's destructive flames as well as several Isaacs.
It was readily apparent that they would not give him a single chance to escape, and even if he were to escape, they would at least leave him heavily injured.
Therefore, Ay had no choice but to use his speed and reflexes to leap toward the Isaac who appeared behind him, seeking to make way for his retreat.
It may give the opportunity to the Isaac above him to slice him from the back, but Ay was willing to take the risk.
Ay's speed allowed him to clench his fist and punch Isaac extremely swiftly, the latter barely managing to lift his left arm as a guard, something that shouldn't matter considering Ay's strength.
At least, that's what Ay expected, even if Isaac improved his clones, they would still not be able to bear the force of his destructive punches.
Thus the clone dissipated in a cloud of smoke before its blade of magma could reach Ay, or so Ay expected.
Reality begged the difference as the sound of bones breaking resounded in Ay's ears, making him stunned.
Ay's punch landed on the clone's arm, but it didn't make it dissipate. Not, it simply broke its bones for it's no clone but the real Isaac.
Ay found himself further stunned as he realized that the fist that came in contact with Isaac's arm was frozen as frost spread from Isaac's broken arm to his, holding him in place.
And if that wasn't enough, Ay clearly saw Isaac's blade heading his way, way too close for him to react much, especially with his fist stuck on Isaac's arm.
Ay could only lean to the side a bit so that the blade missed his heart, the blade which turned from one of magma to frost, making it stuck in his chest as frost spread about from it.
Ay's eyes constricted as he felt the heat still coming from above him, the clone Isaac's blade no doubt near his neck.
Moreover, at some point, Fugaku had appeared beside him, his sharp Kunai going for Ay's throat, the Kunai enveloped in melting flames.
'How?' Time slowed down for Ay as he felt the approach of death. He didn't have much time to contemplate how Isaac is able to use so many special natures.
All Ay could think was why would Isaac take the risk of doing this as his mouth opened in a ferocious grin, moving toward Isaac to bite off his throat.
To him, this was the best case scenario, taking Isaac with him to the afterlife.
Isaac must've realized it too as his crimson eyes constricted in what seemed to be shock, muttering something quite strange much to Ay's confusion, "Switch! Swift Release!!"
Whatever Isaac did must've been a failure as his arm still found itself flying high in the air, splattering blood everywhere... An uninvited intruder joined the battlefield.
