92.56% I Am the Mentor of Spider-Man / Chapter 294: Chapter 220: Across the Spider-Verse (44)

Capítulo 294: Chapter 220: Across the Spider-Verse (44)

As Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man Red, alongside Peter B. Parker, Spectacular Spider-Man, Takuya Yamashiro, Ben Reilly, and Jessica Drew scoured the city in search of Spot, their minds were focused on the mission. They knew that Spot's ability to jump through multiversal portals made him an unpredictable and dangerous foe, and their time was running out.

Peter Red, walking ahead of the group, kept his eyes on the surroundings, scanning every alleyway and building corner. His mind was sharp, thinking of all the possible hiding places Spot might use. But just as he leapt up a wall, his Multiversal Gizmo—the device all the Spider-People wore to communicate and traverse the multiverse—began to glow and buzz on his wrist.

A familiar voice came through the holographic projection.

"Red."

Peter Parker immediately stopped in his tracks, recognizing the voice of his mentor. He looked down at the device on his wrist as a holographic image of Michael Wilson, the legendary Spider-Man, appeared. Peter's heart skipped a beat. Michael rarely contacted them during missions unless something was seriously wrong.

"Captain?" Peter asked, his voice filled with confusion.

Peter B., who had been checking a nearby dumpster for any traces of Spot, noticed Peter Red's expression change. He walked over, sharing a concerned glance with him. "What's going on, Kid?" Peter B. asked.

Michael's hologram looked directly at Peter Red, his voice calm but urgent. "Red... Pete, you need to return to the Spider Society. Now."

Peter Red shook his head, still trying to process the sudden request. "We haven't found Spot yet," Peter said, his confusion clear. "We're in the middle of this. Why do I need to leave?"

Jessica Drew, who had been listening nearby, walked over as well, her hands on her hips, looking perplexed. "What's the problem, Michael?" she asked, her voice carrying the same concern. They all trusted Michael, but his timing seemed strange, especially during such a critical mission.

In the distance, Takuya Yamashiro and Spectacular Spider-Man were still searching, unaware of the growing tension between their teammates. Ben Reilly, always quick to sense a disturbance, was already heading back toward the group.

As the team gathered around, sharing puzzled glances. They had been tracking Spot for hours, and now Peter Red was being pulled away?

Michael's hologram stayed firm. "Just you, Red. Something's come up. It's important, and I can't explain everything right now. Trust me, you need to return."

Peter Red clenched his fists. He knew Michael wouldn't make this call lightly, but leaving his teammates behind felt wrong. "Captain... are you sure? We're close to catching Spot, I can't just—"

"Now, Red," Michael said, his voice unyielding. "This is bigger than just Spot. I'll explain when you get back."

Before Peter could respond or press further, the holographic projection of Michael Wilson flickered and vanished, leaving Peter Red standing there, bewildered.

Peter B. put a hand on Peter's shoulder. "Hey, kid. If Michael says it's important, you should go. We can handle things here."

Jessica nodded, though she still looked concerned. "Yeah, go. We'll keep searching for Spot. Whatever's going on, we'll catch up with you later."

Peter Red took a deep breath, looking at his team. "Okay," Peter finally said, his voice low but determined. "You guys finish the mission. I'll be back as soon as I can."

With a final nod to his team, Peter activated his Multiversal Gizmo. In a flash, he disappeared, heading back to Spider Society, unsure of what awaited him there but trusting Michael's instincts.

Peter B. Parker gave a worried glance toward the portal Peter Red had just vanished through. "Man, this doesn't feel right. Michael's usually pretty clear about why he needs us to drop everything."

Jessica Drew nodded, her expression troubled. "Yeah, and leaving us in the middle of a critical mission?"

Peter B. rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Do you think something happened in the Spider Society? Maybe an emergency?"

Jessica's brow furrowed. "It's possible. With the multiverse as unstable as it is right now… I wouldn't be surprised if something went sideways."

As the team resumed their search with renewed determination, the weight of the unknown pressing on their shoulders, they each took a moment to hope that whatever crisis had pulled Peter Red away wasn't something that would jeopardize their mission or the stability of the multiverse itself.

..............

The atmosphere in the room shifted as the tension thickened. Miles Morales, along with Gwen Stacy, Hobie Brown, Spider-Man Noir, and Peter Porker, stared at the alternate version of Miles—Prowler Miles—and his uncle, Aaron Davis. Prowler Miles's face was cold, unreadable, but his words cut deep.

"Must be nice to have friends." Prowler Miles said, his voice low and menacing.

Miles Morales, still trying to reason with his darker counterpart, pleaded, "You... you don't have to do this! We're not enemies!"

Prowler Miles stood still for a moment, as if considering the words, but then shook his head. "You're not the only one who has a gang." he said, his eyes narrowing.

Before Miles could process what was happening, Aaron Davis, the former Prowler, pulled out a phone. He smirked, the light from the device illuminating his face as he showed it to Miles. The screen displayed an ongoing call.

"You called for backup?" Miles asked, his heart sinking as realization hit him.

Aaron's smirk widened, and he simply replied, "They're coming."

Suddenly, the sound of approaching footsteps and mechanical whirring filled the room. From the shadows emerged some of the most feared villains across the multiverse. The Green Goblin, cackling madly as his glider hovered just above the ground. Electro, his body crackling with energy, sparks flying from his fingertips. Vulture, wings spread wide, swooped down with deadly precision. Mysterio, shrouded in an eerie green mist, illusions swirling around him. And finally, Scorpia, her scorpion tail ready to strike, accompanied by a smirk of her own.

Gwen Stacy's heart sank as she realized what was happening. "Oh, shit," she muttered, gripping her web-shooters tightly. "Let me guess—the Sinister Six in this universe?"

Hobie, always calm and collected, gave a small shrug. "Yup mate, seems like it." he said, his British accent making the moment feel almost casual despite the danger.

Spider-Man Noir's hand went to his side, gripping his web-shooter. "Looks like it's gonna be more than just a fight." he said, his voice gravelly and filled with resolve.

Peter Porker, unbothered by the towering enemies in front of him, reached into his pocket and pulled out his trusty hammer, which was comically large compared to his small frame. "Well, I'm gonna beat them with my hammer." he said cheerfully, twirling it in his hand.

Spider-Man Noir gave a slight nod, impressed. "That's a big hammer."

As the villains advanced, Prowler Miles stepped forward, locking eyes with the real Miles Morales. The two stood face to face, their fates intertwined but their paths clearly divided. Prowler Miles tightened his gauntlet as the Green Goblin's laughter echoed throughout the room.

Miles Morales clenched his fists, electricity beginning to crackle around his body as his venom powers charged up. "We're not backing down." he said, his voice full of determination as he stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Gwen, Hobie, Noir, and Porker.

The tension exploded into action in a flash.

Scorpia was the first to strike, her scorpion tail gleaming in the dim light as she lunged toward Gwen Stacy with terrifying speed. "Let me have fun with this bitch!" she sneered as her tail whipped forward. Gwen, reacting on instinct, backflipped gracefully, just barely dodging the sharp tip of the tail as it slammed into the ground with a loud crack, leaving a small crater where she had been standing.

"Nice try!" Gwen quipped, webbing the ceiling and using her momentum to swing around Scorpia, aiming a swift kick at her opponent's jaw. Scorpia blocked the attack with her tail and retaliated by sending a rapid series of strikes, forcing Gwen to use her agility to evade each deadly blow. The sound of clanging metal echoed in the enclosed space, while Gwen stayed light on her feet, continuously dodging and countering with precise web shots.

Meanwhile, Hobie Brown, aka Spider-Punk, found himself trapped in Mysterio's illusions. The buildings around him twisted and shifted, and the ground seemed to move under his feet, making everything feel unreal. But Hobie just smiled and started playing his electric guitar. The sound from his guitar cut through Mysterio's illusions, making them disappear like smoke.

Mysterio shouted, filled with anger in his eyes "You punk!!"

"That's funny, 'cause I'm Spider-Punk." Hobie said with a grin. As Vulture dove down at him, his mechanical wings buzzing, Hobie jumped into the air. Vulture aimed his sharp talons, but Hobie was quicker. He flipped over Vulture in mid-air and landed on one of the hanging lights in the place, easily dodging the attack.

On the other side of the room, Green Goblin cackled madly as he faced off with Spider-Man Noir. His glider zoomed through the air, firing off missiles that exploded against the walls. Noir, dressed in his classic black trench coat and fedora, dodged the explosions with a series of slick rolls and acrobatic flips, his sharp eyes never leaving his target.

"Let's have fun, shall we?" Goblin sneered, swooping down for a direct assault.

Noir wasn't having any of it. "Just to be clear, I'm not against hitting a mental patient—especially someone like you." he said in his gruff, no-nonsense tone. As Goblin dove towards him, Noir launched a webline, pulling himself up onto the rafters of the building. From above, he fired off web bullets at Goblin, aiming for the exposed wires on his glider.

Goblin screeched in fury as Noir's webs gummed up the mechanics of his wings, causing him to spiral wildly. The glider collided with a support beam, sending Goblin tumbling to the ground.

Amidst all the chaos, Peter Porker—aka Spider-Ham—stood face-to-face with Electro. Sparks crackled around Electro's body, his eyes glowing with pure electricity. Spider-Ham look at him with just confused look.

"A pig?" Electro said with disgust, electricity pulsing through his hands. "Got a problem with black, you racist pig?"

Peter Porker tilted his head, blinked, and then snorted. "First of all, I'm not racist, and second, I'm not just any pig—I'm Spider-Ham!" With that, Porker pulled a giant mallet from his pocket, as if from a cartoon, and slammed it into Electro's chest with a loud BOING!

Electro stumbled back, his body sparking uncontrollably. "What the—?!" he shouted, his electricity fizzling out for a moment from the sheer ridiculousness of the attack. Spider-Ham was already on the move, dodging bursts of lightning while bouncing off the walls with his cartoonish agility. Electro shot bolts of energy at Ham, but each time, Porker either dodged or used his hammer to deflect the blast, sending it ricocheting off in random directions.

As the fight intensified, Miles Morales stood at the center, his fists crackling with venom electricity, watching as his friends battled. He turned his attention to Prowler Miles, who stood quietly, observing the chaos around him.

"You don't have to do this!" Miles shouted, taking a step forward.

Prowler Miles's eyes hardened, his gauntlet "Nah, do you think I let you go, just because you are me?" he growled, his voice filled with anger. "You'll never understand what I've lost."

Before Miles could respond, Prowler lunged forward, his gauntlet glowing with violet energy. The two clashed in a flurry of fists, venom blasts, and energy strikes. Each hit sent sparks flying, their battle intensifying as they exchanged blow after blow. Miles fought with determination, while Prowler fought with pure rage, their fists colliding in a violent storm of power.
