Eddison knew that Erastus was not a greedy eater. It was normal to have fruits after dinner too. Without thinking much, he sat on the couch.

After Caroline's prompt, Erastus then said, "I want to have two plums."

Eddison was startled. How dare he speak to Caroline like this when he was a guest?

However, she happily brought the plums over. She was about to cut them when Erastus stopped her.

He took the two plums and said, "I'll bring these home."

Then, he got up and left.

Caroline was dumbfounded. He left with the plums. Was he eyeing the fruits all this while? Why did she feel like he was doing this on purpose?

Eddison took in the scene and felt a little strange seeing their behavior. 

After Erastus left, he stretched out his long arms and pulled Caroline onto his lap. 

"What's with you and Erastus? Is there something between the both of you that I'm not aware about?" He asked as he leaned against her forehead.
