Capítulo 27: A mother's sleep and a demon's?
The demon flew backwards from the force but suddenly gained control of its body swiftly spinning and landing with its short large legs. It growled at the new participants but it was far from giving up.
The team brought the fight outside, the hut had almost lost a half of itself, it was mere luck that Elessar's mother's room still remained unbroken and Elessar was determined to keep it that way.
The lesser demon gazed above to the Funari of medium height and little frame, it released a snicker once it saw her form and then it looked at her transformed fly at her shoulder and then the black beast growling at an offensive stance below.
It roared exposing its maw and splattering thick white saliva which almost drenched Pouka.
"What's that?"
"Was that a roar?"
The people's attention was drawn to the spot of the unfriendly sound.
Then, Pouka initiated her attack swiftly charging forward, she was so fast and the lesser demon responded by swinging its clawed hands at it. She dodged them perfectly, crouching when needed or changing positions. She finally got in front of it and spun back thrusting her hind legs on its chest which pushed it backwards staggering, her partner, the marsh fly followed with a concentrated beam that pushed it back as it protected its face from the blast with its arms.
Elessar turned to Finrod who stood at the other head of the hut unsure of what to do, "Tell the people to stay away and have them ready the archers!" She ordered.
Finrod nodded and ran to the approaching crowd, he told them what Elessar had instructed and they got on to it, she was one of the strongest in the village after all.
The demon withstood the drawn-out beam attack and roared once it stopped. Pouka responded with a roar of her own.
Elessar was at level 21, Pouka was at 19 and Na'se her fly was at level 14, they were more than enough to take on the creature, or so she thought.
She flipped in the air and flawlessly landed, looking the demon in the eye, fear absolutely absent in her eyes, her brows were even furrowed with all seriousness.
She took the first step charging forward with Pouka charging forward as well by her side. The demon charged forward, its maw widely opened.
They closed in the distance and the demon was the first to strike. It swung down its long arm overhead Elessar which she avoided by sidestepping at the last minute, the demon followed with a side swing of its other, and Elessar instinctively responded by throwing her arms up her face as a guard.
The powerful strike pushed her backwards causing her to drag her feet across the ground as she did.
'I felt that.' She smirked.
Na'se flew swiftly about the creature's head, meticulously blasting the demon's head with its beams and avoiding its bites.
"RAHHH!" it roared and swung down its arm at Pouka who had dug her large teeth into its left leg.
Pouka whimpered as the blow crashed on her torso sending her flying into a tree behind. The bite dug deep and it bled its murky blood but it wasn't immobilized.
The creature even got it angrier and it roared once more trashing up its hands trying to hit Na'se but like flies, Na'se was swift, so swift that it could take on the demon in a prolonged fight as its beams were doing damage to its head causing low burns that sizzled.
Finally, Na'se caught an eye frying it, but the demon smacked it away as it did, groaning and disoriented.
It was Elessar's chance, she had upped her agility stat and strength stat and she felt enough to take on the violent mass of muscle.
She got in front of it, stopped and dug her fist on its jaw upwards. It wailed as its head was pushed upwards and it fell.
Elessar moved to grab its legs when it kicked her back into the hut with its uninjured feet.
She crashed past the walls of a room stopping once she fell on a bench breaking it apart.
The pain from the blow ran through her body, her ribs felt like they were broken. She struggled to sit up and as soon as she did, she spat a mouthful of blood.
She slowly got back up feeling great pain in her upper thighs, the strike from the creature's large foot had managed to hit both her torso and her upper thighs.
She hobbled forward and then got to a wall of the room she broke through, there was a massive hole that went through both walls. She fell forward squeezing easily through it.
Elessar got up and saw that the room was on the verge of falling apart, bits of the roof had fallen over and utensils were scattered around and yet her mother was unconscious and unaware of the happenings around her.
Elessar crawled to her mother to make sure nothing had fallen on her, and truly nothing did, it was like there was an invisible force over her that drove away harm.
She then got up and peeped through the other hole to the outside and spotted Pouka going at it with the demon.
This time, the demon was much slower, it was bleeding from its left leg and its torso and back as many arrows jutted out from it.
At that moment, she saw an arrow of lightning burst on the demon's back sending it falling.
'Finrod!'
Pouka went for its unwounded leg and clamped its teeth on it causing it to cry.
Again, arrows fell from the sky onto it and Pouka swift as she was, zoomed away letting most of them fall on the demon.
Heavy breaths escaped Elessar as she looked in anticipation, a second passed, two and then fifteen seconds. It remained unmoving, staining the brown ground with its blood and then finally, it came up…

On the ground there, the large demon had bled to death.
