Capítulo 107: 107: Putting out the fire

"So, do we have a deal? You should think about it more carefully. Please, take your time."

Tired eyes looked at the white hooded figure before him with suspicion.

The man who called himself a 'messenger of God' was someone the king had heard much about in the past few days.

"I will think about it. I am still not convinced about who you are and what you are planning, but I cannot deny that you have helped the citizens of this slum more than anyone else has."

The king had to admit that the cult was the real deal. But something still did not feel right about their 'god.'

As much as he wanted to allow them access to the slums and help more people, the king feared that he and his people would have to pay.

"You seem to be worried, my dear king. And it is a good thing. Being worried for your subjects signifies a good and fair king. I would even go as far as to say that you are better than the emperor of the empire."
