Capítulo 215: Lord Hubert’s Mansion

Bel was relieved when they finally rode through the gates of the Lord's mansion. She had been made to sit in an open wagon, passing through the town. It was a busy port town, and the market was even busier. Bel simply buried her head in shame as they went past.

The wagon shook terribly and each time her head spun even more. Bel was surprised she hadn't fainted yet but she was determined to get to Lord's house and hopefully convince him to take her in and send a letter to her father.

They didn't face much trouble as the Captain rode the wagon into the compound. It was a pretty place, with trees growing all around, and Bel could see children running about. They stopped to look at her in the garden, and two of them started pointing at her.

Bel's attention was drawn to the front doors as they opened. "Get down," she heard the Captain say as he dismounted. "Pray he lets you in," he added darkly.
