Capítulo 207: Her Father’s Reaction

Bel slowly opened her eyes to a familiar ceiling. She groaned and sat upright. Her head hurt, but that wasn't the only thing wrong. Her body felt a little heavy, and by the light coming from the window, it was clear a new day had begun.

"You're finally awake," a familiar voice said.

Bel jerked her head to the side to see Isaiah seated no more than three feet away. He yawned as their eyes met. He didn't look like he had gotten a wink of sleep.

"Isaiah!" she cried. "What are you doing here?"

"That's my line," he mumbled. "And I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know that, Princess. What were you thinking?" Bel shrank under his anger. Isaiah stood up from his seat. "I don't know what happened, and I'm doing my best to understand the situation, but how could you push yourself to such extremes?" He paused and sighed. "It's not my place to scold you. I'll let the Queen and King know you're awake, and I'll ask the servants to bring your meal. Please eat."
