It was my final night in the forest before embarking on my journey, and I decided to indulge in some leisure time within my Mindscape. I kicked back, playing video games and devouring junk food—just the kind of relaxation one indulges in before a long trip. Everything was going swimmingly until I hit a certain level in the game. No matter how hard I tried, I kept getting defeated by random enemies. Frustration mounting, I eventually gave up on playing and decided to explore outside the confines of my mind's library.

To my unsurprise, as I ventured outside, I was greeted by a frozen wasteland, stretching endlessly before me. Books and bookshelves lay sprawled and buried everywhere, but instead of picking them up as I usually do, I kept walking further and further away from where my library lay. At some point, snow began to fall, gradually intensifying into a heavy blizzard that severely obscured my vision as I pressed on. Undeterred by the freezing conditions, I summoned warmer clothing to replace the already thick coat I was wearing, knowing that the temperature would continue to drop.

Eventually, a small blue light emerged in the distance within the storm, prompting me to quicken my pace. As I drew nearer, the light intensified, its chilling glow impossible to ignore amidst the raging blizzard. Finally, I reached the source of the light, only to find a book encased in a clear blue ice that formed a perfect cube around it, preventing me from accessing its contents.

Despite the obstacle, it was evident that this wasn't my first encounter with the frozen book. The surrounding area was littered with tools and equipment used for chiseling, along with a clear hole in the ice leading directly towards the book.

"Your mines today!" With that enthusiastic shout I began work like I've done for the past 2 month since the day I discovered this strange book. At first I tried to create some jack hammer but I found that its just as fast as the chisels that layed around the area so I just defaulted to the chisels and spent a couple hours since I found it chiseling away at the block trying to get to the book. Why? because the cover had very interesting title.

Frost Death knights

The title of the book was simple yet clear, and if my guess was correct, it contained all the spells I had learned up to now, perhaps even detailing the principles behind them. I couldn't fathom how one breathes ice breath, but with this book, I might unravel the mysteries and derive new skills from my existing ones. For instance, I could learn basic ice magic and shoot out ice bolts, providing me with better ranged options. Alternatively, I could develop more area-of-effect skills.

That's why I found myself here today, with less than 6 inches to reach the book. Once I had it in my grasp, all that remained was to chip away at the ice surrounding it, a task I could easily accomplish within a few hours.

And so, as the first rays of dawn illuminated the horizon, I painstakingly chipped away at the ice surrounding the book. Hours later, with the last vestiges of ice removed, I finally grasped the book, causing the clear cube of ice to instantly melt away. In my hands lay a tome that appeared ancient, brimming with knowledge from ages past.

However, I had no intention of delving into its contents at that moment. Hastily, I made my way back to my mind's library, where I reverently placed the book on the table in the room reserved for my most important memories and knowledge books. There, it would await further exploration and study when the time was right.

Feeling the morning's arrival through the clock I had conjured up, I promptly exited my mind, finding myself awakening in the cave I had transformed into my home over the past two years. With a sense of purpose, I rose and began packing up the remainder of my belongings, preparing myself to venture beyond the confines of the forest and into the unknown lands ahead, though I did note the weird note in my status, before I sat off.
