Dahlia gently rubbed her wrist where Sullivan had just released his grip, her eyes narrowing at him. "You didn't need to be so angry with the Crown Prince. He outranks you, and he only came to check if I was alright," she said, her voice calm yet questioning.

Sullivan's jaw clenched, his voice laced with bitterness. "So, you liked his concern for you?"

Dahlia furrowed her brows, taken aback by his tone. "What's wrong with you?" she murmured, sitting down on the edge of the mattress. She stretched her legs, letting them dangle, gently kicking back and forth. "Don't be jealous," she added, her gaze steady on him.

As her eyes softened, her expression darkened slightly. "I heard from Nylie that you... stabbed a servant. Is it true? Did you really drive a knife into her hand?" Her tone was laced with disbelief and concern as she frowned. "How could you do something so cruel, Sullivan?"
