"Oh. I'm sorry, my prince." Jylan said flatly when he heard the whole story.
Sebastian frowned - even those 5 words sounded fake. "Don't you have anything else to say? You sound like a robot. Also, you're internally happy about this, aren't you?" The butler smiled and took the dagger gently from Sebastian's hand, turning it around as the sun ricocheted off it. It occurred to Sebastian how glad he was that the dagger wasn't soaked in blood right now. "Of course I am. But I'm being respectful and aware of your feelings." Jylan said, and Sebastian sighed.
"Alright, alright," Sebastian said, even though he was trying not to smile.
"Oh! and, I have an offer for you, My Prince." Jylan said, the corners of his eyes lifting in a grin.
"What?" Sebastian asked, cautiously.
"Come be a servant for my dukedom instead of being a prince." Jylan offered, his hand still closed around Sebastian's.
Sebastian stared at him.
