Capítulo 24: Eggy's Hotel

As Ma Hongjun spread his crimson fire wings, flames crackling with raw power, he locked eyes with the purplish-blue-haired boy, who stood poised for battle with a fierce determination. Despite the boy's outward confidence, there was an undeniable undercurrent of apprehension as he faced Ma Hongjun, a natural suppression resulting from the quality of their Martial Souls.

Sensing the tension in the air, Ma Hongjun felt a pang of reluctance deep within him. He didn't truly desire to engage in a fight with this boy; his only intention was to intimidate him enough to back off. After all, he had pressing matters to attend to, such as meeting his brother, so he couldn't afford to waste time on unnecessary confrontations.

Sadly realizing that his opponent hadn't yielded despite the suppression of his Martial Soul, Ma Hongjun could only attempt to reason with him. With a mighty roar that echoed through the air, Ma Hongjun unleashed his weakened Phoenix Fire Bomb, conjuring fiery orbs that streaked toward his opponent with explosive force.

The purplish-blue-haired boy reacted swiftly, deploying his Wind Edge to deflect the incoming fireballs with razor-sharp gusts of wind. Despite his efforts, the force of Ma Hongjun's attack remained relentless, pushing him back with each fiery explosion. The battlefield was illuminated by the fiery explosions, casting an eerie glow across the scene.

As the skirmish intensified, the purplish-blue-haired boy coughed several times, clearly injured by the ferocity of Ma Hongjun's attacks. Despite his injuries, however, he remained steadfast, refusing to back down.

Undeterred by his opponent's resilience, Ma Hongjun pressed forward, his movements fluid and precise as he closed the distance between them. With a burst of speed, he lunged towards the boy, his flaming fists ablaze with his passive fire.

However, the purplish-blue-haired boy was quick to react, countering with his Wind Dome as a swirling vortex of air formed a protective barrier around him, shielding him against Ma Hongjun's fiery assault.

As their powers clashed and the winds roared around them, Ma Hongjun seized the opportunity to speak. "Listen to me!" he shouted, his voice cutting through the chaos. "I don't want to hurt you!"

His words echoed in the air, carrying the sincerity of his intentions. "I was just trying to help you!" he continued, raising his voice to be heard over the roaring winds. "My flames were out of control, and I was trying to extinguish them!"

However, the purplish-blue-haired boy remained defiant, his eyes ablaze with anger, he unleashed a torrent of accusations at Ma Hongjun. Each word was laced with contempt, his voice dripping with disdain. "You dare call yourself a savior? What kind of extinguishing technique is that!" he spat, his tone venomous. "Couldn't you just do it with your mind? You had no reason to touch all over the place, now did you?! You're nothing but a pervert!"

Ma Hongjun's brow furrowed in confusion and frustration. He realized that he had made a misstep in his approach due to the panic at that time. Yes, he could have extinguished the flames using his Devourer of Flames without physical contact, but he couldn't admit to that now.

"I'm not a pervert!" he protested, his voice tinged with exasperation. "I was genuinely trying to help you! I swear in the name of the future Vice Dean of Shrek Academy!"

His heart racing with anxiety, Ma Hongjun continued to defend himself. "And why would I have those kinds of thoughts in mind? We are both guys!" he exclaimed, his frustration evident. "I like women, you lunatic!"

Despite Ma Hongjun's efforts to reason with the purplish-blue-haired boy, his resolve remained unyielding, and he continued to unleash his Wind Edge with renewed ferocity. Hours passed in a tense exchange of blows, with Ma Hongjun gradually wearing down his opponent's soul power, the purplish-blue-haired boy had resorted to fist-fighting long ago.

As the purplish-blue-haired boy's attacks weakened, Ma Hongjun could sense an opportunity. With a heavy sigh of resignation, he realized that further attempts at reasoning would be futile. It was time to bring an end to this futile conflict.

Summoning his Phoenix Fire Bomb, Ma Hongjun infused it into his fist with just enough power to break through the purplish-blue-haired boy's defense without causing serious harm. With a swift punch, he unleashed the fireball, aiming to shatter the wind barrier that surrounded his opponent.

The explosion echoed through the air, followed by the sound of impact as the purplish-blue-haired boy was thrown back, crashing onto the ground with a resounding thud, unconscious. Ma Hongjun approached cautiously, checking to ensure that the boy was not seriously injured.

Ma Hongjun could only sigh as he took out Dalu Link and called his brother. "Hello?" Sheng Jun's voice came through clearly within the Dalu Link, "Brother Jun, Hongjun here, can you wait a bit longer? Something unexpected came up when I was flying towards the capital"

After Ma Hongjun explained the situation, Sheng Jun quickly arranged for a hotel room with a light chuckled at Ma Hongjun's lack of awareness. "Alright, I've booked a room for you at the Eggy's Hotel" he confirmed. "It's not far from your current location, just head to the nearest city and you'll find it. I own that hotel, so you should have no trouble checking in" Sheng Jun said, a mischievous grin appearing on his face.

Ma Hongjun nodded in appreciation. "Thanks, Brother Jun. I'll head there right away" he replied gratefully, oblivious to his brother's light chuckle as he ended the call.

Ma Hongjun held the purplish-blue-haired boy in his arms and flew through the sky towards the nearest city. The cool breeze brushed against his face as he flapped his wings rhythmically, carrying them swiftly towards their destination. Despite the weight of the unconscious boy in his arms, Ma Hongjun's speed did not slow down. "How can this guy be so light?" he muttered as he flew.

As they approached the city lights twinkled below, casting a warm glow across the landscape. Ma Hongjun scanned the area for the Eggy's Hotel, following Sheng Jun's directions to find the building.

As Ma Hongjun stood outside the Eggy's Hotel, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the realization that it was a love hotel. Despite his initial surprise, he quickly brushed off any concerns, reminding himself that he wasn't here for romantic purposes. With a shrug, he focused on the more pressing matter at hand.

Pushing open the doors to the hotel, Ma Hongjun stepped inside, the soft lighting and plush furnishings adding to the hotel's romantic ambiance. Ignoring the suggestive decor, he made his way to the reception desk.

As Ma Hongjun was about to take them into their room, he suddenly felt movement in his arms. The purplish-blue-haired guy abruptly opened his eyes and began frantically scanning his surroundings. His gaze first landed on Ma Hongjun's handsome face, a hint of blush appearing unnoticed by Ma Hongjun. Then, his expression turned dark upon noticing their location, and fury began to build up inside him.

"YOU DAMN PERVERT! HOW DARE YOU TAKE ME TO A LOVE HOTEL?!" he bellowed loudly, breaking away from Ma Hongjun's arms and starting to run away. His words echoed through the lobby, drawing curious glances from other guests. "SHREK ACADEMY, RIGHT? I WILL REMEMBER THIS!" he shouted as he disappeared from Ma Hongjun's view.

Confused by the sudden outburst, Ma Hongjun wondered, "What's his problem?" Ignoring the curious onlookers, he walked into the his room to rest, ready to put the strange encounter behind him.
